In case anyone missed the news, some moron vandalized the Pegasus statue in front of the Burnett Honors College before the game on Thurs. The Slantinel has a video of the idiot, who was apparently trying to strattle the horse before it broke at its support rod. As an Alum of the Honors College, this really ticks me off. The estimated damage sits at $10K. If you know who this guy is, help turn him in by calling the numbers in the article.

What an idiot. I still can't see how the heck it's $10k of damage, though. I hope they catch him.

Sadly, these 2 drunk idiots with their bikes with coolers are some of the scum that invade UCF's campus on Game Day that have zero interest in going to the game. (This incident happen 30 mins after kickoff).

Hopefully, while the police presence in/around the stadium is great...maybe a few LEOs can be spread across campus just so drunks won't destroy/vandalize other UCF property.

If these 2 idiots are stupid enough to show up with their cooler bikes for the next game...hope UCFPD arrests them.

Maybe a student group can hand out flyers near the mall that shows photos of them and their bikes so maybe they can be identified that way.

Just to get the facts straight, the statue is valued at 10K....not 10K worth of damage. I'm sure they can find somebody to fix/weld whatever structural damage was done. I've been there age and I've done lots of stupid things while drunk, including stuff like they did. Thing is, though, they don't look drunk at all to me. It is what it is and life goes on. They are on video so you would think somebody would be able to figure out who they were. They were probably dumb enough to post it to some social media site, at or around the time the picture was taken.

Wow. Looks like he has a horse fetish and is trying to hump it. It's likely that they'll be caught. Nothing costs a few hundred dollars anymore. Doubt $10,000 though.

True. Looking at $1k. In any event, it's not about the money. Just a bunch of spoiled brats should be charged with misdameanor and have mommy and daddy come bail their asses out of jail. Would teach life lesson.

Do you know the age of these morons?

Most of us have had a few drinks during our day...but vandalizing property never really came up during my episodes.

Hope they get caught and are forced to scrub the statue with a toothbrush after its fixed.

I know we'll never do this, but I could totally get behind requiring a game ticket to even be on campus on game day. There is easily 60,000-70,000 tailgating for a typical game, dumping trash all over the place. In pure communist fashion, those of us with game tickets end up footing the bill for the 20,000-30,000 douches that trash campus then go home and watch their Gator or Hurricane games.

He really wasn't vandalizing...was horse playing and it broke...if they were on bikes, it may have been students,

"action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property." His "horse play" resulted in damage to property, so yeah, it's vandalism. Doesn't make it right even if he didn't mean to break it.
