Daughter Z drives a POS 2011 Toyota Camry that needs new tires. She can get a set of Michelins from BJs for $600 installed which does not seem like a terrible deal, but the car has 150K miles and is not in great shape. She wants to get another year or two out of it so she can get a little more settled into a career and afford a new car. Are there any decent less expensive tire options. She is probably not going to drive the car for another 80K miles which is the warranty on the Michelins. I looked up Goodrich, Goodyear, any of the name brands are all within $100 for a set of 4. If she is within $100 the Michelins are probably the best ones. If she can find something decent for around $400 installed that would be at least a decent savings for her.
