While not exactly the same, at UCF a Cheerleader died from alcohol poisoning/drug overdose in 2006 after going out with other UCF Cheerleaders the day after a fraternity was caught underage drinking and hazing (kids dressed up in funny outfits). Guess which organization was punished?
saw some snippets of pitinos news briefing tonight. He said he cried some tears. He was in the dark on this.etc etc etc *YAWN* so happy to see his "legacy" get teared down. Hopefully the NCAA really comes down hard on them and goes beyond their self induced post season ban. Hiring strippers for recruits? Can you get any worse than that?

"Seriously Pat, you can't be a bigger joke than you are. "Alleged," really? Schools don'e self impose post season bans for "alleged" violations. You are celebrating a school for self imposing a post season ban, sorry Pat that is not enough. This is the same school that turned in UCF for what appears to be much worse for a far longer period. UCF got a hell of a lot more than one post season ban. No pat Louisville is going to lose scholarships, Louisville is going to be hit harder and no matter how much you spin their cooperation, they just admitted they are dirty.

Friends and Colleagues,
When the University first learned of allegations against our men's basketball program, I promised a complete and thorough review of the accusations. I immediately activated the University of Louisville Investigative Committee to receive regular updates from our joint investigation with the NCAA.
Yesterday, as chair of the committee, I received an update on the investigation’s progress. Based upon this information, I determined that it was reasonable to conclude that significant violations had occurred in the men’s basketball program in the past.
After consulting with Director of Athletics Tom Jurich, we made the decision to withhold the men’s basketball program from all conference and NCAA postseason competition following the 2015-16 men’s basketball season. I recognize that this is a significant penalty for our program and will be a disappointment to our student athletes and to many in the UofL family.
While this was a difficult decision, it was made in the best interest of our University community, and I believe we will be stronger because of it. Until this investigation is concluded, we will not be able to speak publicly about its findings, even if that means we’re unable to defend ourselves against inaccurate accusations. I hope you will reserve judgment until we can share the facts.
In the meantime, our University continues its daily focus of educational excellence and service to our community.
Finally, I continue to support Tom Jurich, Coach Pitino and the outstanding student-athletes in our men’s basketball program.

They'll get around to it after they finish up their current investigation. Word is they went deep undercover for an expose on whether Pitino has any polyps. Eventually they'll have to come up for some air!

Isn't it amazing how Pat Forde gets all the breaking news before it is news about Loserville athletics? Is he a mouthpiece for loserville and/or a media hitman for pitino?

There's your answer! UL is not a major university and never will be. First, they're in wobegon Kentucky (coal, poverty, ignorance). Second, they ain't UK, the only barely respectable university in the state. Last, their SATs for their top quartile is the same as UCF's median SAT! Pathetic. Their entire claim to fame is athletics.
