Our defense is strong this year, but what about 2017? 7 of our 11 D starters are seniors. Only our front 3 D linemen and Shaquem return. Can we successfully reload on D in 2017?

Chequan Burkett and Pat Jasinki should easily fill in at LB. I'm excited about the secondary next year.
I really hope that's not the best thing we can say about next year's defense. Our backups look that bleak?
I'm not saying that per se. Just would be nice to get a few 4 stars every cycle that could start right away.
A strong, agile DE recruit would help as well. Our two small LBs have been getting a lot of the pressure, but they get overwhelmed by large offensive lines or blocked out against running QBs. The top DEs are immediate starters even at top P-5 schools because its all about raw ability.
This year's defense has the same parts as last year's and it's a night and day difference. Trust in Chinander.
Of the big names, how many really were there last year. Was Brim (is he the transfer?)? The giant Frosh DE will be great, and we'll have a Griffin (who didn't play last year). But it would be great to get OL and defense this recruiting cycle.
If healthy Lezzer is eligible. I think Bacote will surprise. Davis will be solid. Hopefully Monterious Loggins becomes a player, solely so they can announce his name.
