Interesting that you don't mention all of the places where police backed off and let leftist rioters have their way over the summer. Places such as Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland. I guess that didn't fit your attempt to create a racism narrative.
I've been very careful not to push a "racism narrative" and have largely kept my mouth shut but what's your honest take on what would happen if an agitated majority black mob descended on the Capitol with advanced notice and a clear agenda to disrupt? Do you feel we would have seen the same response leading up to and during the day?
I had to take a timeout as this board was affecting my happiness. That and my second son was born so I’ve had better things to do.@sk8knight I am surprised you still haven't answered the call of the question. It is a good one.

We’ve had majority black mobs take over highways and neighborhoods all throughout the last 6 years, starting with the Freddie Gray riots. Since the public outrage after Ferguson, we have not seen any city fire on the mobs as we hear people suggest would’ve happened in the Capitol. Additionally, the pre-staging of police assets normally happens when they know that the protestors are going to be doing things like taking over city streets and freeways and not as much when they are protesting in safer protest areas. Finally, many of the people making the argument that a black protest would’ve been handled different are also decrying the assault on the valiant heroic Capitol Police. This hypocrisy screams political theater to me.
From what I’ve read, Capitol Police refused federal resources prior to the inauguration debacle. I think the questions need to go to the incompetence of the Capitol police rather than trying to create some racist conspiracy where one isn’t warranted.
I would be shocked if Chris was doing that. But the question touches on that public narrative. I can separate the peaceful parts of the protests from the violent parts. I propose that history shows that there hasn’t been a massive crackdown on black protests vice white protests. I think the police presence has to do more with intel the agencies have about groups involved and their prior actions than the color of their skin. There are occasions where agencies drop the ball or overprepare. They are comprised of humans.Well first, congrats on the birth of #2. That' s awesome.
I don't think @ChrisKnight06 was trying to create a racist conspiracy theory. It's a valid question especially when comparing how we saw the preparations for a BLM rally and the EC vote--the latter of which our intelligence communities supposedly warned other various agencies of a potential threat.
Maybe it's just me but I think handling a protest comprised of black people and the assault on officers are two completely separate items. I am sure we aren't going to agree on that one but they're mutually exclusive. Again, you aren't going to agree with me on that one, and that's fine.
I am sure there will be a Congressional inquiry into how the Capitol was stormed and we are going to find out a lot of very ugly truths about the whole ordeal--from the Capitol police right back the White House and Trump.
I don't know where you learned your American History, but you propose wrong.I propose that history shows that there hasn’t been a massive crackdown on black protests vice white protests.
There was some serious intel about the radical groups involved in the storming of the US Capitol. Not only was it ignored, the Capitol police refused assistance from the national guard that was offered the day before.I think the police presence has to do more with intel the agencies have about groups involved and their prior actions than the color of their skin.
