Perriman will be at draft in person.

Outside shot at sneaking in the top 10 with all the recent hype. Blake last year. Breshad this year.

That would be crazy if all 3 of those kids don't show up. Pretty much the first 3 picks of the draft could be no-shows. How is the NFL going to handle that?

^ By moving on to the next pick. Can't blame those kids for wanting to stay home and celebrate with family and friends. Totally understandable.

Especially with Jameis. Go to the draft and get a raucous chorus of boos from the crowd or spend it in the arms of friends and family?

Not a good decision to go to draft...If you fall to end of first, the cameras follow you around after every pick..

I disagree. Especially since none of those kids are going to get drafted past the 5th pick. It's a given.

There are times in life that you're supposed to be selfish and your family needs to understand that. Being the #1 pick in the NFL draft is one of those moments. I can't even say good for any of them for doing this. It a childish and small-time decision. If they have a family member that gets actually 100% upset with them because they decide to go to the draft, the one where they're getting drafted, the one where they could be the first pick, instead of staying home with them and grilling some burgers and downing some brews, then that family member is even more childish and small-time than they are. It's the first official day of their NFL careers, the thing that they've been working so hard and so long for. This is the kinda $hit you're supposed to embrace 100% because you don't know how long it's going to last.

All draft picks get booed. All of them. I'm hoping Chicago will out-do the boos that the Jets fans are famous for at every draft. It's all part of it. The phone call, the tears, the hat, the stroll, the wave, the boos, the one-hand-bring-it-in-reach-and-do-the-open-hand-double-back-tap-hug with the commish, the interview, Kiper talking $hit...

Stupid decision, in my opinion. Very stupid decision.

So what if said player has an ailing family member/friend who can't travel who he'd love to celebrate the moment with?

Then it is up to that ailing/sick family member/friend to make sure said player understands that he needs to enjoy his moment and that they will be just fine watching it on TV.

Like I said, there are moments in life when you have to be selfish. Being the #1 pick in the NFL draft qualifies as one of those moments and I really can't understand any excuses as to why a player wouldn't want to go.

You're projecting your own feelings onto others here, though. Perhaps their version of being selfish is staying home with their loved ones instead of taking part in this whole production?

Joe Thomas wanted to spend the day fishing with his dad. It's a special day for these players. Let them spend it how they feel is best...

The cameras will just be at the house or venue that the player is at...Amari Cooper said he doesnt want to be a part of the circus at the draft...

I know I am. If I was in their shoes, I couldn't imagine any other scenario than being in person at the venue when my name is called. To each their own, I suppose, but anything else feels asinine and small time for me.

I think it's asinine or small time to not realize that different people have different motivations, and judging people on something like this when you know absolutely nothing about their specific reasoning or personality is pretentious and just a useless way to spend ones energy.

I'm just stating an opinion. My opinion. They can do whatever they want, go to the draft or not, for whatever reasons they want. Not my problem. But if they don't go, I'm still going to think they're stupid... and dumb.

I would not go.
This is a great BBQ and family time. Also I would not be watching the Draft!
You have life to live.
Only reason to go is if you are a guaranteed top 5 or 10 pick.

Which is what Winston and Mariota are. You have all your life to spend time with family and friends, but you only get drafted into the NFL once. This is the equivalent of graduating from college but not going to the ceremony because you'd rather spend time with friends and family.

That's just stupid... and dumb...

He'll be there with 25 others

Draft
I think it's a good thing that he is there. Shows dedication, etc. He just needs to keep an iron face as the draft progresses. No matter what round he goes (or pick), he will have a chance to prove himself. REMEMBER JOHNNY MANZIEL.....he's in drug-alcohol rehab right now (Blake's in CA working on his form and strength)

Wasting a couple hours of your time to stand up with 5,000 other students when you are a 21-23 year old adult is stupid....and dumb

See? Joe gets it. If you're going to be the first pick of the draft and you don't want to be there when your name is called, you're stupid. It shows poor decision making. No wonder the fukcing dumbass stole crab legs and $hit.

All 3 of those kids, Winston, Mariota, Cooper, they're just showing that they're dumb. Andrew Luck went to the draft. Eli Manning went to the draft and he's stupid. Cam Newton went to the draft and he's stupid too. So these guys are basically showing that they're stupider than Eli and Cam, whose combined IQ is probably somewhere around -27.

Small time players. Small time mentality. Perriman is smarter than all of them, he knows wassup.

This is why I wouldn't draft Jameis. Pretty clear he's stupid and will be a huge bust. Oh, you're afraid of booing and want to be in the arms of mama? GTFO you little vadge. Marriotta will be bagging groceries in a few years as it were so I guess he needs mama's love.

I bet Goodell advised Jameis to stay home for the Draft but not bc of potential booing which I doubt would happen in a 98% guy audience. It was probably bc of potential protests by Feminists groups bc of all his off the field allegations.

As stupid as Roger Goddell is, and he is stupid, I can't imagine him telling any potential #1 overall pick to stay home. It's just not good for business.

BEST QB in the Draft...
UCLA's!! Book it.. I think his arm, and he seems more ready than Jameis, and Marcus.
He reminds me of Donovan McNabb, Phil Simms, Warren Moon.

So two guys that never won a Super Bowl and an average white QB?

I've watched enough of his games to think he is a potato. He regressed last season
