Let's get some perspective here ....
Our B12 schedule has NOT been easy. We started with a road game against defending B12 champs Kansas State and were in the game till the 4th quarter. Yes, we BOTCHED the Baylor game but even with that crappy ending we proved we belonged in the B12. Then we had a road game against Kansas who, by the way, was ranked and was 5-1 at the time. Finally, we play a nailbiter AT #6 undefeated Oklahoma. That is not an easy start. We could have easily foreseen 1-3 start. The easier games on our schedule are still to come.
For those bashing JRP, I hope you watched yesterdays game. He is FAR AND AWAY our best QB right now and it's not even close. He is 100% better than last year. Unfortunately, he was only half strength yesterday with the sickness and the leg but you can see the potential. We should have a great 2nd half of the year.
For those of you wanting Gus' scalp, just get over yourselves. Most college football fans want to fire their coach. The problem is, who is the next guy? And even if you think you know a next guy, there is no guarantee you are going to get him! Gus is recruiting at a P5 level and we have our best class EVER coming to campus very soon. Our struggles this year only point out how much early playing time we have available.
Things are not as bad as you think they are. 6-6 was always a real possibility going in to this year and we are still very much in reach of that. Take a deep breath.
