I’ve been thinking about this throughout the second half and this is a really difficult exercise. I think this is what I’ve settled on.
1. Awful line play. O-line gets no push in the run game, and can’t pass protect. D-line was slightly better than terrible today, but still awful overall.
2a. Bad playcalling- unwillingness to throw the ball until we’re down by multiple scores
2b. Bad playcalling- whatever our red zone offense is supposed to be
2c. Bad playcalling- inability to scheme anything creative in short yardage situations
3. Absolutely horrendous DBs. Some of the worst third down defense I’ve ever seen
4. Bad receivers. No one is capable of getting separation
5. Generally bad QB play even when a play is there to be made.
6. Awful game/clock management
7. Embarrassing special teams
8. Lack of discipline/bad penalties in key situations
Honestly though, you can make a case for a lot of these to be number 1. This team is just a comedy of errors. When one facet of the team plays better than bad, it’s something else. I’m sure I’m missing some too. Curious what everyone’s power rankings are
