  • Leblanc will have to sit out a season.
  • JRP is the starter, Timmy is #2, but it sounds like someone else wants the #2 spot more (probably the Charlotte transfer)
  • Medley and Grable healed from Spring injuries, and practiced with the 1 squad today
  • JRP is in the category of the type of leader who went on to win championships.
  • Night and day difference in terms of JRP's development and readiness relative to last year
  • Will probably do more late-game situation preparation since playing more competition and more games are likely to come down to the wire.

I just hope that JRP has improved enough to beat the socks off that guy from Oklahoma! 😜

Is that LeBlanc issue official? Seems UCF gets the shit end of the stick when it comes to issues like this.

Apparently yes. Gus was quoted in a different twitter post.
Gus cited it was because of the timing of his transfer (after the window), so he will have to sit for a year.

Does seem like we don’t tend to get the exceptions we probably should - but I don’t follow other schools so I can’t say this is just a UCF thing.

Lot of pressure on Plumlee to deliver and for Malzahn.
Yeah, but I think the bar is a little low. I'd be okay with making a bowl game this season.

I think baseball was a good idea for JRP, to find something else to focus on and take a break for a little.

I also see now why Gus went with JRP. I still think Mikey was the better passer, but JRP is the better leader, and that is more important in Gus's eyes.

I'm saying it more on how much Malzahn talks up Plumlee. Championship leader, night and day improvement after the first few days of camp.

It is all BS until Plumlee goes out on the field and produces. Gus has never badmouthed a player and doing so would serve to accomplish nothing. Gus "talked" Jeremy Johnson into a Heisman Trophy candidate in 2015. Talk is cheap.

Per Wikipedia, "Following Nick Marshall's departure from the Auburn football program after the 2014 season, Johnson was named the starter for the 2015 season following spring practice.[3] Many publications had Johnson listed as one of the favorites to win the Heisman trophy and lead Auburn to the CFP. However, the season got off to a rough start. Johnson threw three interceptions in the opening game against Louisville and two more against (FCS) Jacksonville State. Johnson was benched after another multi-turnover performance to rival LSU."

When all is said and done, will JRP have done more than has been said? I don't know. To his benefit, he did lead a last minute scoring drive in the Spring Game. Hopefully he can translate that success to the fall. After all he is a near consensus Top 5 quarterback in the Big 12

He needs to protect himself, he was much less than 100% way too often last year. Slide, get out of bounds, get the ball to check down receivers will all help him stay upright.

That, plus moderate improvement as a passer and more consistent play calling should be enough to get us to bowl season

Agreed, we should get a bowl. Going to need to see him against Boise to see how he's progressed

Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm so happy JRP has progressed!

I mean if he knows he's going to take a hit, hold on to that loaf of bread! Him fumbling was a game changer last year!

i like the confidence. love it if we make Conference Championship. It will be a season and we will cheer on the guys. Hoping for magic, expecting at least a bowl. but you never know how it actually will go.

Confidence is good when you earn it. Otherwise its just saying stuff people want to hear, which the coaching staff has been proned to do in the past.

Yeah…UCF did not need late-game preparation last year. I mean…finished the season losing 3/4 and scoring 13 against Duke.

Funny. I didn't need to see a practice to know our 2017 team was going to be spectacular.

Maybe you need a new pair of prescription glasses..............assh*le.
Predicting @ucfHonor's response in 3...2....1.....

"Only true UCF fans wouldn't use that language.

.....and I only sh*t twice a week because I'm busy going to UCF practices like real fans.

I like my stamp collection.

Henderson twins got some decent playing time last year. Hope they make a big jump in year 2. ⚔️⚔️

Looking forward to seeing what he can do this year for us. Is he the 1st off the bench when we go 3 WR?

Baker, Hudson, Townsend (slot)

Scrolling through Instagram earlier and it looks like one of our recruits LB Troy Ford has some sort of injury. Saw lots of “speedy recovery” and 🙏 attached to his pics. Details will sprinkle out in time I’m sure.
