Still a favorite movie...

I never knew that the briefcase at the center of the movie was actually implied to be the briefcase of diamonds from "Reservoir Dogs" as an "easter egg". Fans took it a completely different direction (those that knew not of Reservior Dogs) in believing it was literally Marcellus' soul. Now it makes perfect sense.

The band-aid on the back of Marcellus' neck had no meaning at all...Tarantino thought it just looked cool.

Link for the info on the briefcase? I have always read that Tarantino wanted that left open to the viewer's interpretation. Same with the band aid. Unless it's from QT's mouth, I'm not buying it.

Oh, and I'm getting really fvcking old. 20 years?!

The movie never did anything for me.

I think it was due to everyone telling me it was great before watching it, so it could never live up to the expectations.

I don't buy one word of this unless Tarantino said it.

He did, yesterday on an interview on CNN (entertainment segment) which prompted my post, it was part of the script initially.

The band-aid is what he left open to interpretation. He said he liked it because it just looked cool. The actor cut himself shaving that morning and he told him to leave it on.

Also, Kill Bill was hinted at also in Pulp Fiction...

He also said there were many other, very "apparent" easter eggs that fans never picked up on that has "eternally perplexed" him, but he will not give them away "so people don't feel stupid".

Yea, I thought it was a good movie, but way too over hyped for what it was. Im not a Tarintino fan anyways.

When it came out, I had no interest in watching it. Was shown in film class. I loved it. Love how it tells the story starting in the middle, goes to the end, then back to the beginning, and back to the middle.

No, it's because you're both black.

To keep with the Tarantino way, clearly she should have put it at the end.

Touché!

Kill Bill was linked to Django...

When Uma's character emerges from the grave after punching her way out...the grave she is next to is Django's counterpart.

Django was ok, it was good except the soundtrack just did not fit for the period, at all...and Tarantino is usually good with soundtracks.
