What an absolute tear UCF is on with the recruiting trail. Sleeping giant! We are fresh, fun and innovative. If the NIL collective takes off, sky is the limit man. I’m so proud, I was a student during games at the Citrus Bowl and the transition when we opened the Bounce House vs Texas (when it REALLY bounced). What a time to be alive and a Knights fan!

I think EJ Colson is supposed to announce tonight as well (QB for 2025). I don’t know what kind of stock to put in a player still 2 years out but hop on board.

That Georgia pipeline is real btw! 🍑

Locking down the Hillsborough/Polk/Osceola/Seminole/Orange Counties and taking a piece of the market share of Georgia is the way. I enjoyed the Hawaii pipeline but let’s be real, Central FL/S FL and Georgia is the pipeline we want.

Here’s the video of his footwork that everyone raves about (if you don’t want to read through the story).

And also this little snippet!

As of right now for the class of 2025 UCF will be moving up to number 9 in the country with the second highest ranking in the Big XII conference behind only TCU.

I guess this is cool at least for building good momentum in terms of publicity. Still hard to get too excited when half of these guys will decommit in the next several months with “respect muh decision.” Which is totally ok because these are kids who are being pulled in many different directions. But I wish that these super public commitment parties months/years in advance weren’t a thing

Bro 😡…it’s different times. I get the feeling these Georgia boys want to play together too, keep it a vibe.

Not sure where you're getting "half" from.

At this point last year, UCF had had 2 players decommit. As of now, they've had....2 players decommit this year.

By the end of last recruiting cycle, they'd had a total of 5 players decommit, and two of them wound up enrolling at UCF eventually anyway.

So it's certainly possible, likely even, that several of UCF's current and future commits will eventually head elsewhere before signing day, but it certainly won't be half.

This Place

it is so cool to be justified(and not delusional) about UCF’s ceiling w a more equal playing field

So if we get a commitment from Peterson today that makes:

Johnson…Sanford
Presley… Dr. Phillips
Gude… Georgia
Peterson… Georgia

I think Presley probably will gravitate to LB since he is already 6’2 220lbs as a HS Senior. Really hoping we get a commitment from Brandon Jacob on July 20. Since we play 5 DB’s I guess taking 4 or 5 every class is the way to go.

Lots of good talent in Georgia, maybe Gus and staff are exploiting a market inefficiency getting the next best talent there after the top tier guys go to UGA. Kind of like Florida, that “next best” talent is better than many states’ top tier talent. But there’s less competition in Georgia for them than in Florida.

Georgia has better HS coaching and development than FL now. A lot of Floridian coaches have moved there for better salaries and benefits. still got amazing athletes in FL but Georgia recruits may be ready to play sooner
