Recruiting Update Thread

that is an odd offer if it is anything other than preferred walk on especially w Hinshaw no longer on the staff.

Pretty sure it is a walkon offer. UCF is probably giving him Aidan Fedigan's roster spot. Chase is considered by sone to be the best snapper in Florida. Plus, his brother is already on the team.

Looks like Milton got his guy ...I like the Archer pickup. The last guy Milton recruited just got drafted by the Browns.

I like him as well. He's taller than KZ but he does play like him. Hope we can keep him. Will be great to see what KZ can do with both Archer and Belfort.

He’s win like 26 games in a row and 2 State Titles I think. Mama Milton commented on a Facebook post of this saying the vacation paid off or something like that. He seems to get the kids he wants if he gets to them early. But it’s still early.

Really... the class that nobody is focusin on right now.. thats what we are cherry picking?
Cherry picking?? The comment I replied to was made right after an article on a 2026 recruit. Sorry I'm not going to get bent out of shape over recruiting of transfers that none of us know anything about.

It’s also the active recruiting class. 2025 is already signed.

He’s lying anyways. UCF’s 2026 class is not anywhere near #33 in either the 247 Sports composite or the ON3 industry rankings.

UCF fans making up rankings like they tried to claim a fake colley naty.

I really hope you’re trolling because nobody could possibly be this dumb. Try looking at the rankings on the site you’re posting on (I’ll save you the time, I see it went from 33 to 35 from this morning to this evening). I also don’t care what the ranking is in May. And the rankings you think you got me with only prove the point I was making. Whether it’s 33 or 35 or 39 or 52…. There are 67 power 4 teams so none of those rankings are G5 recruiting levels, which is the only point I was making. I will now go back to avoiding this site again before I lose anymore brain cells.

Recruiting class or the Dude BlackNGold is talking about?
if his only other offers is Group of 5 schools and he decommits before Memorial Day not the best look. usually we have had early commits that would do this once certain big programs come into the picture.

But overall about recruiting right now it isn’t good. We are recruiting like we are Central Michigan. But after Gus we gotta hope he overachieves this Fall and late/next cycle gets more quality. This moneyball recruiting strategy is not going to work long term, you need to develop but you still need Dudes.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify for me. Perhaps he things he can do it with mostly "diamonds in the rough." Worked last time, not sure now that we are in the xii. Hope he's right.

I’m hoping they told him they were getting higher rated guys at his position so he got out now instead of later. If he just decided Sacramento St was a better option, we are in trouble.

Recruiting has to be a mix of high school guys and transfers. That’s just the way it has to be.

There are a couple of things negatively affecting UCF recruiting right now.

1. Scott Forst has to rebuild his reputation both personally and profesionally.

2. Top recruits want to play for coordinators/position coaches that are trending up, have a record of development and achievement (winning). UCF doesn’t have an attractive coaching staff.

3. NIL: Transfers and high school recruits want to be compensated. Just about all 3* and above guys have an NIL agent/attorney.

4. (relates to #3) Mohajir hired Scott Forst because Frost would accept a low paying contract and Frost would not be able to make demands for adequate resources to hire a staff and for recruits/transfers.

A COUPLE OF RECRUITING POSITIVES:

1. Orlando is probably the best venue, more attractive city to play in/get exposure in the entire Big 12.

2. The opportunity for early playing time. This is a big factor…UCF can legitimately offer blue-chip high school players and viable transfers a chance to start right away (in all positions).

3. Florida is a football talent rich state. Staying close to family and friends is a considerable factor to recruits.
