So let's recap: extreme partisans within the FBI, some of whom have now been ousted from the Special Counsel, were responsible for launching the internal Russia Investigation proceedings, largely in part using a Dossier that was entirely put together by a former British spy at the request (and with funding) from the DNC and Hillary Clinton's campaign. This Dossier has now largely been dismissed. They did not disclose any information as to who requested the Dossier and who funded it.

The memo also claims that, before and after Steele was terminated as a source, he kept in contact with the DOJ through then-Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr. Ohr, who worked closely with Yates then Rosenstein, eventually spoke with the FBI about his communications with Steele. In September 2016, Steele apparently told Ohr he was "'desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president,'" according to the memo. The memo also notes Ohr's wife worked for Fusion GPS to help with the opposition research against Trump, something the memo claims was not disclosed.

Although I fully support investigating politicians, and any and all information released about FISA is always welcome ... investigation and impeachment has far more to do with parties, than law.

As Oliver Stone hit it early on, "The Russians Are Coming!" Most Americans are just too ignorant to understand the Russians always interfere, and nothing changed after their 2014 'pivot' from War-Hawk Progressives to America-first, Interference-last Conservatives.

The FBI had long been confidentially investigating Clinton's e-mail server.

It only came out because of the other departments that had discovered "classified spillage." Rule #1 is to identify the damage when that happens, which the DoJ then impeded, and let Clinton lawyers dictate terms before disclosing, including not turning over everything. This severely tied the hands of the FBI, who were forced to give all sorts of protections to staffers ... including those like Combetta who actively worked to impede their ability, and rely on their word alone.

That would never be tolerated in any other setting.

Republicans loved the FBI when it was investigating Clinton and want to fire everybody now. What’s the difference?

The DoJ is always political. But the FBI is not.

I tired of the FBI being politicized. The sad thing is ... until Comey leaked information to the media, and that includes about Democratic politicians as much as Republican ones ... he was considered one of the most trusted leaders the FBI had in a long time. I still think Comey is a solid, non-partisan leader, but I'm sure in his frustrations, he let his ethos -- not impartiality, but ethos -- slide.

It undermined his standing, which is sad.

Trump should have recused himself from considering Comey's fate, and put it squarely in the hands of an independent board, granting them the power to fire. They would have fired Comey, and Trump's hands would have been clean. Instead, he followed the recommendations of a review board, possibly not-so-independent, and while he may have not been wrong, he put the target on himself.

all presidents talk a big game leading up to the election and then few follow through. that said trump has followed through on more of his promises than most presidents.

like i said, no one wants to go after her because they know theyd probably be taken down in the process. shes the swamp monster of all swamp monsters.
