UCF signed Rich Wallace to a five-year contract, which will escalate in pay every year:
2023-24: $370,000
2024-25: $395,000
2025-26: $500,000
2026-27: $525,000
2027-28: $550,000
Directly from the agreement:
-Incentive compensation up to $100,000 (cumulative) per year for achieving academic and athletic performance goals as determined by the Director of Athletics.
-Full standard benefits on the same terms as provided by UCFAA to all professional employees, with contributions and benefit amount based upon the base salary where relevant and subject always to the terms, rules and regulations in effect from time to time regarding such plans.
-Reimbursement for your household moving expenses in accordance with UCFAA policy.
-Provide a $700 per month vehicle stipend.
-Salary pool for two full-time assistant coaches: $330,000 annually.
-Reasonable travel costs for spouse and children to one regular season away series and all post-season games.
Buyout information:
If UCF terminates without cause, the buyout is 50 percent of the remaining contract term. If Wallace were to take another job elsewhere (collegiate or pro baseball), his buyout would be 50 percent of the remaining contract term.
