I have a story. I sat next to him on the flight from Orlando to Tallahassee because UCF was playing in the NCAA baseball regionals, the year lost in final championship twice to FSU.. Only needed to win 1 game to advance, we didn't.

I always read his articles and had a great conversation with him.
He offered a ride to the game, which I accepted because I was going to get a taxi (way before Uber).

He was at the Sentinel in 1973. I was reading articles when I was a senior in high school.

I read his and Jerry Greene’s articles with my breakfast cereal every morning since age 12. I enjoyed his articles, but loved Jerry Greene’s writing and sense of humor. RIP Larry.
