Rivals: Could UCF have competed in CFB playoffs?

"The Knights averaged wins of 49-25 this season but did not play a Power Five school before Auburn (a home game vs. Georgia Tech was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma)."

Uhh, Maryland? Granted, they weren't worth a shit, but they're still P5.

Do these guys even look at our schedule before they write? This was, and still is, my biggest issue with the vast majority of the media and opposing fans since our Peach Bowl win. Most are basing their opinions on a snapshot as they're painfully unaware of our 2017 body of work. Additionally, this kind of shoddy reporting does us no favors in the conversation, and only helps to fuel the ignorant naysayers.

We didn't only play slouches, and it could be realistically argued that Memphis and USF were woefully underranked due the perception of the American.

I swear some people are so ignorant. Makes me cringe thinking people read stuff like this and their opinion of UCF diminishes as a result.
