Yahoo has taken their ineptness to an entirely new level. Everything they touch turns to shit, rivals being no exception. Taking a full 25% of screen real estate for a banner ad is pitiful. Features are lacking. Looks to me like a project they farmed out to India with very poor analysis of user requirements. I would have expected this offering to kick 24/7's ass. This is a step back, or arguably only a small step forward at closing the feature gap. I like thebullspen.com bbs freeware better than this garbage. Maybe it's time for Brandon to pull the plug on rivals and take the board private again.

Holy crap, the new features are a joke. Definitely an India hack job. Somebody awarded you a trophie? All the happy social media crap you expect on FB and twitter, not a sports message board. After all this time, they just installed a XenForo board. This took almost no effort and they could've just as easily done this 5 years ago.
I know I'm bumping this a week later, but I wish it were so easy. Yahoo finally allowed Rivals to go ahead with a licensing deal with an outside software that wasn't a Yahoo product - that's why this didn't happen a long time ago. It took about five months of prep to make sure everything integrated with the existing software (usernames, the import of posts, etc.). The transition was fairly seamless, outside of Georgia fans screaming mad about losing thread view. Other portions of the site (front page, story pages, recruiting database) are being overhauled as well.
