Let alone evaluate athletes in person.

Funny but also disappointing. Even though we all believed this already.

This kind of thing has happend with a lot of news organizations. Highschool athlete ratings is small potatoes to some of the "fake news" thats been released by major news networks but it sucks because we know recruiting class rankings are a data point used against our team.

Well that’s disgusting

247 has guys predicted to sign with teams that haven't even offered them a scholarship and 247 gives 3 stars to just about every recruit. Our top 4 teams (CUSA) signed 28, 25, 23, and 20 3 stars. As you can see 247 puts no time into evaluating players. Gives everyone 3 stars. Rivals is much more realistic.

Agree with some points above. I believe 247 messes up just as much. Just haven't messed up in this way yet.

Not only do they not look at the film, but most of these recruits are rated before their senior years and their ratings don't change unless they pick up some high profile offers.

A lot of these players are rated based on their offers which to be honest is a decent metric as there are way more coaches out there recruiting than people rating on recruiting websites.
