I first became a politics message board junkie on Nebraska's back in 2006 until it was shut down in 2016. Then I joined this one a year later. They've always been cesspools -- and not the kind of place for the timid or thin-skinned.
But, that said, they used to be places where you'd occasionally find some interesting back-and-forths with posters you disagreed with on a whole range of subjects. But you don't see that much at all anymore. Nowadays, they've become online psych wards.

The reality facing this country once Roe is overturned and 21 State quickly enact abortion bans is that the only thing that changes is we go from a country with safe abortions to one with unsafe abortions.

Abortion bans, while making chuds happy, historically don’t actually reduce abortions. Because they don’t address the factors that lead to the decision to abort a pregnancy. If people were truly “pro-life”, they would look for ways to reduce the burden on a potential mother who is deciding whether or not to bring a child into the world. Not just attempt to eliminate the safer option to terminate a pregnancy.
At its core, the movement has always been about subjugating women.
They also increase unsafe abortions, as only the Elites and Politicians have safe ones. Banning freedom always makes it just about those who don't follow the law.

Last I checked, the state courts are still gung-ho on self-defense, including the infamous 'stand your ground' laws found in numerous states.
Which begs the question: How in the world can you lump self-defense laws in with States fully prepared to force women to carry an embryo nine months to term --- even if it's the result of rape or incest for crying out loud??!?!?

It's like he's oblivious to not only his own issues, but 'The Social Contract' that he not only repeatedly violates, but how much he 'gets serious,' then looks like a total idiot after for being totally wrong, and has to put up such facades.
Mike has also, repeatedly displayed bigotry and in creative ways that are utterly against the terms of Rivals, but the AI and other reports cannot detect. His repeat 'gay shaming' means if Crazy was booted, he needs to be booted as well. Crazy proved that very well, and how much this board can have uneven application.

Then there are the other @$$hats shown here who's statements over the past year I'll let speak for themselves. They hijack half the ****ing threads around here, and not just in the Cooler or Kiddie Board, with commentary on people they are obsessed with. Some of them also push the line on harrassment.

But apparently, in the World According to UCFBS, hijacking this thread on Roe v Wade to obsess over Ucfmikes and harass the poor guy is a whole different story.

That's what the Republicans need to focus on, along with forcing doctors to perform abortions against their will, while supporting the original terms of Roe v. Wade which do allow restrictions on 3rd and even some 2nd trimesters. If the Republicans would focus on that, and make it about 'civil rights' of all women, doctors and others ... they'd find a whole new crowd.

Still waiting on what they plan 2 do with all of theee umwanted babies. Will the adoption system be fixed to ensure kids are safe? What will these polititians who get their mistresses pregnate do now? What if their daughters gets pregnate from Daquan from the projects? All of these unwanted kids, will mean many more women will need government benefits. Will there be stricter laws with stricter penalties for me who dont pay chikd support? A whole lot of factors that i think will keep any type of bans from lasting long. This is a country of excess. I dont think any ban will last long.
It's actually worse. It's threatening to harm a SCOTUS justice. It's terrorism being spewed by a US Senator. Terrorism is violence to achieve a political end. I am an independent, sort of libertarian and it's my observation idiots like Schumer want to sow seeds of distrust into the judiciary. They are poisoning the well and ruining the last vestige of institutional trust most Americans have. There are decisions they make I agree with and others I don't. Overall though I still have trust in them to get it right most of the time. I think many do as well.
Roe V Wade read rights and language into the Constitution that simply do not exists. Even Ruth Badger Ginsburg thought Roe V Wade was bad law by the court . It's a weak ruling and should go for that alone.
I predicted this would happen when the majority opinion was leaked. I predicted the leftist again would be violent . Here in Asheville a pregnancy center helping poor women with their pregnancy was vandalized. They aren't harming anyone and yet leftist spray painted all over it vile things. You want to see the true insurrectionists it's not idiots on the right , it's the left and our President, my President, isn't saying a thing about it. As Bruce says ...he just stands back and let's it all be.
We need to amp up security for all the SCOTUS justices. I also think if they change their opinions which they are entitled too it will only embolden more violence and more leaks down the road because it proves violence and threats work. If nothing else they should rule as the leaked opinion to stop further leaks and send a strong message the court will not be intimidated by any side on issues before it.

As I always say ... hypocrisy has no limit. Given the left gets the most say in Big Tech / Social Media, which is 100x as influential as Traditional Media ... it's not a shocker.

Student loans are a perfect example of what 'more government' not only instigated over two decades ago ... but ensures their perpetual cluster****ery.
Domestic energy is just the latest in domestic investment that no one wants to put money into after over a dozen years of it as well.
We don't even do that at the border ... verifying children are actually those of the adults, and not trafficking humans. The rate is around 5%. And some solutions, like separation, are just not viable, and utterly self-defeating, because they impact the other 95%.
But that's government as of late. Destroy the civil liberties of nearly everyone, for the small minority.
