UCF will need to win 5 games in 5 days for auto-bid into the NCAA Big Dance. Let's go March Madness. LOL. Not.
Tonight probably last game of season with no post season play.

Utah are 2 point favorites. over/under: 157.

UCF beat Utah a couple weeks ago in a very close game and Utah fired their coach the next day. Read a few articles saying the Utes are looking for revenge on that game. UCF just lost to WVU final game of season from a behind-big-comeback but failed to win. UCF is shorthanded. Not sure who/what Utah has for players. Should be interesting and only chance (and small chance) for UCF to sneak off one win in the conf tourny. Getting lined up against Kansas if UCF wins is a pretty sure loss.

One NIT bubble watch site (never knew there was one but there are many) has UCF in the NIT.

Late game tonight. Get to lay in bed and watch the game. Hopefully, UCF gets a win tonight. Getting lined up with Kansas the next night would get UCF some exposure...but also get exposed. So glad UCF is in the Big 12 with a rich basketball history. Kansas is where basketball got into the college realm.

Trying to kill time to 9:30 kick off:

In 1898 Dr. Naismith joined the staff at the University of Kansas. Since basketball had spread to many YMCAs across the country, it was already being played in Kansas but was generally considered to be a woman's sport, and thus received little attention. Naismith introduced basketball to his male physical education classes. The men immediately took to it and the Kansas basketball craze had begun. The Kansas University Weekly reported on December 10, "... it appears that the basketball mania would carry all before it."

Let's just win tonight...it's necessary to get us a bid to the NIT. Beyond that, one game at a time.

Sons of UCF said that we are projected as 3 seed in the CB Crown tourny which pays out $2 MILLION to the school's NIL so we aren't going to turn that invite down.
The NIL money is distributed by the school but it must be given to the current players on the basketball team.

When an offer/bid for the NIT goes out, I wonder who has more authority to make that call?

I feel like Dawkins would definitely be a “yes” to play an extra game in the NIT, one more game for Darius Johnson.

But I kind of feel like Terry would be more of a “no”, save money on travel, move on to next season, etc.

But I could be wrong, who knows. Last year UCF got a home game, so my point doesn’t really apply here (and we know last year turned out pretty poorly).

NIT would probably be a home game the first round
