Sad News about Juice

We make a lot of fun about Sock Boy, but Rock Em Socks really showed up and donated $12,222 to the GoFund Me for Otis’ Mom. That’s pretty cool, good on them.

Danny White and a few recent NFL drafted players donated a nice chunk. Several player parents donated as well. Nothing seen from the hippo 🦛, not surprised.
He tweeted about Otis. I didn’t see anything from Frost who recruited him. Granted his mom was always complaining on Twitter but still.

School needs to get something like these in black and gold ASAP

I have a couple of pairs of their socks and really like them. Have my sights set on another pair too. They're also founded by UCF grad/s. They make a cool "Spirit Splash" design. https://rockemsocks.com/products/uc...4jsQ5VRkhiGrU0adiwMyss8ShUJ_HwBBoCT58QAvD_BwE

I still don’t think Heupel was as bad as people paint him to be. Shannon was a huge problem in my eyes.

Agree about Heup. He was a good guy who cared for our athletes. I even liked the core of his offense being big passing plays and running between the tackles. It's the type of offense that the biggest OLs and RBs, tallest and fastest WRs, and great QBs wantto play in.

The problem is that he and his staff couldn't recruit for s***. I also think he should have used a lot more motion and ran outside the tackles more often.

Sounds like Sr. was in a rage. That's why some people are against guns. It's not the guns fault, but random unfortunate events, like a dog bite, cause some people to rage.

I’m pretty sure both were drinking. Neither could stop emotions because of being drunk.
My first thought when story came out was drinking had to have been involved. I’ve never known anyone to “rage” like that and kill your own son. Just sad all around.

I saw KZ is doing a meet and greet 1.15.22 w/ signings from 8-9p after the Hula Bowl at Ether downtown (I think that was the location) and all proceeds are going to Otis’ family. KZ is such a good dude, we need more of him.

I've been blackout drunk more times that I know and have had access to guns since I was a kid. This has to have a mental health aspect to it. Bipolar or something.

Could be. Also it said he was bitten by a dog and was dripping blood, I could imagine someone getting pretty upset over that.

The Dad couldn’t remember exactly how everything unfolded so is reasonable to believe he was drinking. Also I’d get alerts on IG when Juice would go live and every single time it would be him driving listening to music and drinking out of a red solo cup. The Dad pleaded not guilty but if he has a CCW he would know that you aren’t allowed to handle a gun intoxicated so even if he claims self defense he will have broken some other law.

Were you getting into fights with the gun around?
Arguments yes. Not physical fights.

I acknowledge alcohol seriously affects judgement but killing your ex or your son is something extra. I have seen people who go into a deranged rage when drunk but those are cases where something was wrong with them even sober.
