Saturday Sporting Event: The Donald @ UCF Arena

Exactly my point to #1. If politicians fulfilled peoples "needs"... which is actually their "wants"... which is greed... then we are headed for a socialistic government. Trump is telling everyone he will fill their needs to get elected... just like every politician before him... and then he will do what is best for himself and his fellow billionaires.
So now we are being greedy because we don't want our jobs going over seas or get overrun by illegal aliens?[eyeroll]

I sure am glad this is on a UCF board! Because when I come to UCF's rivals page, I want to see a political argument, not sports/UCF talk. Thanks, guys!

You must be the guy who gets the silent text while sleeping at 3 A.M.and complains. Don't read it if you don't want to. It's not like you're paying big money for a service. Sorry you're not getting your money's worth.

Why don't you post something about sports for all us to read since there's so much going on?

Trump is gonna make America great again. I think we can all agree that Obama was the worst ever. Trump said he hates Sander's because he's a commie. He said PP is fine for women but doesnt want them getting government money to kill fetuses. I would add that he should seek the support of the far right in Europe for assistance in defeating ISIS and criminalizing Sharia Law.

Really? Just for his fellow billionaires? He can do that and NOT run for President.

Meanwhile, Sanders again today ranted on and on how college tuition in the US should be FREE to everyone (citizens and even illegals).

Do you think he is just saying that to get elected by dumb 18 yr olds?

Trump will do fine. He's got enough support in the House and Senate to push his agenda. We will finally take our country back.

Well, guess I got to you. It's okay, man. You can relax. It was just sarcasm. Not everything on the Internet is a personal attack against you.

Have you heard Trump mention anything about modifying the loopholes his companies take advantage of to skip billions in taxes each year? Nope. His companies aren't involved in imports/exports. I could go on and on about what he has to gain from that proposal, but would quickly become tl;dr

And of course Sanders is pushing for free college. He's a socialist in democratic clothing. I don't doubt he would do it. But if you don't think he is bringing this to the forefront of his campaign to gain votes (much like Obama did in his campaign), then you are as naive as the rest of the 18 year olds out there.

But just to brings sports back into it, just think what free college would do to the scholarship benefits of collegiate sports. :scream:

Loopholes? Who wrote and signed the laws/regulations on all the loopholes? (I will wait so you can answer).

Meanwhile....

I like what Trump wants to do to in adding tariffs to goods American companies make outside the USA (i.e. US Car MFG who continue to shut down more US plants while expanding/building new plants in in Mexico and other countries) as tax law as of now (made/written by Dems/GOP) makes it beneficial for US companies to shut down US plants and build them outside the US.

Trump alone can't correct thousands and thousands of bad laws/regulations that are on the books written by crooks before him but I wouldn't protest him trying to correct more than a few.

So far we have at least some strong arguments for Trump's proposals and most other candidates just support the status quo.

The main knock on Trump is basically that he talks like a fool, but frankly fix the country and I'll overlook that.

Where do you think the loopholes come from? I'd say 99% of loopholes are from attempts at trying to correct what is wrong in the first place. Then, the more laws/rules you put into place not only make it more confusing, it makes it harder to regulate. Fraud, corruption, and crime are the biggest problems facing our economic system as we don't have the resources to regulate them. A small example: there is a competition at several Orlando call centers by thousands of employees seeing who can get back more taxes than they put in. The average salary of these employees is around $35K per year and they get back between $20K to $40K in taxes.... EACH! And this is just here locally. Imagine across the country. And why do they do this? Because the risk is very low that they would be audited.

As for your car argument, if it is so much cheaper to build cars overseas, then why is Toyota/Honda/Hyundai/"Insert Foreign Car Company Here" buying these old US car manufacturing facilities to build their cars over here? Answer: Because they (as foreign companies) don't have to deal with unions driving up wages beyond manageability. (My uncle made $140K per year plus pension benefits as a JANITOR at a Ford plant before they shut it down). American companies don't deal with unions overseas and foreign companies don't have to deal with the unions over here. Do you want to restate your question???

As much as I hate Obama, I give him credit for actually closing many loopholes businesses were using to avoid taxes. The problem now, as always, becomes regulating them. There are still more loopholes, and there always will be. Unfortunately, our focus is being sent in the wrong direction.
