Not sure how long Holman is out, but if he's out for a while - who do you guys think did a better job?

They looked almost identical out there to me (which I guess was a bad thing). Who do you think separates themselves in practice?

For some reason I lean Harris because he has been in the offense longer but there has to be a reason they used Schneider first.

I think based on what I've read Schneider is the better QB. Can't really judge the first game on the road performance fairly, but I do think they both looked about the same. The problem is GOL does not know how to develop a game plan around the talent we have - he'll continue with his same stubborn @$$ game plan no matter which kid is behind center, so I'm not sure that it matters.

Harris. More familiar with the system and gives us a better chance to win until Schneider improves.

Hopefully vs Furman, both.

Both need experience ASAP.

Best performer vs Furman starts (and hopefully finishes) vs South Carolina

I watched to the end of the game. Harris had that TD pass near the end. He looked better in my opinion (but not good). Luckily we have Furman for a tune up. Geez, what a spin us UCF fans have taken so far!

If we had last year's receivers Bo would be the choice. Better arm strength.

However, this year we have a group of really good possession receivers. There is no Hall or Perriman type receiver that is creating yards of separation downfield. To be successful with this group, it's going to be short, precise, well timed throws. That's Harris's wheelhouse. Long term (if we can get some burners in future recruiting classes) Bo will be the better QB.

If you guys remember when Bortles first came into our offense they had to simplify it way down. When the offense was working with Holman it was probably a lot more complex -- it'll be interesting to see what happens when the offense is geared towards a young QB and how they react. They're not as good at reading defenses, checking out of plays, and probably just don't know as much of the offense. The good news is that both QBs look like they can sling the ball pretty well - not a bad problem to have two freshman QBs. Don't think I can remember a time when we've had this much talent in young QBs -- and that they both have the size to be starters.

Looking forward to see how they both do in the Furman game. I agree that Harris probably makes the most sense short term -- will be interesting to see how quickly Schneider develops. With all the youth on the team this year, we'll probably have a rough season but going to be pretty damn good for a few years if everyone keeps developing.

Who is "they" again?

Done for the season.

I think Harris should be starting. He showed more athleticism than Bo. We lost our starting center for the year, and the OL isn't one of our strengths.

Start Harris. Play Bo in the first half. Whoever does better, let them play the second half and get ready for USC.

This sucks too! O-line was already a mess. Hopefully he gets one more year. Demetrius Anderson as well.
You think he wants to rehab for a third time to try and come back and compete with Hiers? I wouldn't blame him for taking his degree and walking away.

C'mon, guys, this is an easy choice. Start Schneider. He led us to that win over Alabama!

We're pretty doomed. Our starter is probably gone 4-6 weeks, and we're going to go into the 2 qb system. See 2006, 2008, and 2011. I didn't see anything to say one did better than the other. I thought harris had a stronger arm.

The color scheme of black and gold is hard to screw up. We've managed to do it.

Hopefully Schneider takes the job and buries Furman early so we can also get Harris some work before heading to South Carolina.

Harris looked more comfortable running the offense. I would go with him to start and then work Schneider in there as the game goes along to get some experience. Hopefully with some experience, he will feel more comfortable.

^This, ^ ideally Schneider plays about 2/3 of the game builds up a good lead, and Harris finishes it out.

Bo is the QB of the future right now so go with him.

Why is Stanback 3rd string now? Not fast enough? I do like the freshmen.

Stanback is totally in the doghouse for a variety of reasons. It's very sad really. He's super fast for a 225+ pounder. He's been total enigma

He ran 100 meters as a high school senior just a tad slower than Josh Robinson and was one of the fastest runners in the state of NY in 2012.

GOL should stop trying to prove a point and let Stanback be Stanback.
