Can you kindly give me the scoop on him? Is he a true WR1? He’s visiting Miami Wednesday and Thursday. Apparently, he researched our QB and our offensive staff. He wants a QB that can get him the deep ball and he wants a capable QB2 in case of injury to the starter.

He also says NIL might be a tiebreaker but not the most important thing. It appears that he has been doing a lot of research and likes the fact that TVD is a projected 1st round draft pick.

No.

In today's game, his size works against guys like that, although there are exceptions (T Hill being one). Remember, he only has 1,300 career yards and 8 TDs in 3 years. In his only full year, he was 2nd in catches and yards, and 3rd in TDs.

So you can come to your own conclusions....

TY. SI says he is a “prized WR transfer”.

He was pretty productive in Heupels offense with Gabriel at QB. Which means I honestly don't know if he can be successful with anything other than the deep ball. I personally always liked him though.

I mean Miami is so full of 5* talent right? I don’t think Jaylon would even see the field if he transferred there. Would a player from UCF even be allowed to enter the shrine that is the U?*

of course not.

btw, sarcasm aside i'm 100% in agreement with Jaylon on transferring. he's a small wide receiver who needs to put up numbers to get noticed. a 6'3"+ guy can get away with meager numbers. i just hope he picks a school where he's a focal point.

Talented for sure. He probably would have started out as WR2 here but had the potential to make a statement if he continued where he left off when he was hurt. Never really made an impact last year because of that. We were bummed to see him go but we have a pretty loaded WR room.

Very good deep ball receiver. Is he a #1? I think in a perfect world you'd want a more physical move the chains receiver to be your #1 and Robinson the deep threat as #2.

He is excellent. Gets great separation and can make the spectacular circus catch. Not sure about route running because he was most successful with deep shots under Heupel.

Tyreek Hill is an exception because he is absolutely exceptional. He's not only freakishly quick and very fast, he runs the entire route tree very well. But most of all, it's his work ethic. He described himself in an interview thusly:

“I really take criticism the wrong way from a lot of people, because, like you said, when I first came into the league, a lot of people was like, ‘Oh, he’s just another fast guy.’ So I took it to heart and thought, ‘I’m going to be different.’ I wanted to be different from any other speedy guy. I wanted to be able to block, to make tough grabs, to be able to run every route on the route tree. I worked my butt off each and every offseason to grow as a player in every aspect of the game.”

I'm not saying that Flash is unmotivated but running from a system that requires you to learn and practice new skills to find one that would allow him to stay in his comfort zone might be a clue. Good luck to him regardless.

That's great flash how about do what you can to help the team WIN. Me guys never fit into any system.

Couldn't the same be said for a lot of the Auburn players that transferred to play under Gus.

He’s really fast. Can make some great catches. Occasionally drops an easy one. His speed is nuts.

Maybe. I have no idea what system they have in place at Auburn.

Either way, is it finally time to remove the student part of student-athlete and stop the pretense?

As soon as they stop taking classes, sure.

But, seriously, Have to think the majority of kids are still in line with what you’d expect for a student athlete.

Flash would have had mega TDs and yardage with John Rhys Plumlee arm that we saw on display in the spring game. Don't understand his thinking? Therefore, unless it is something personal I can't give you the scoop on this young man's thinking.

I don't think either instance was completely "Malzahn's Scheme", but I would say the scheme with the competent experienced QB who was expected to be the starter from Day 1 Malzahn arrived is probably closer to "his scheme".
I think his scheme played out with Keene, Gatewood, Navarro, etc. First 2 games with a veteran QB who set records the year before in passing was a plan of don’t fix what isn’t broken. Similar to with Milton in 2018. But you don’t have to take my word for it. Flash and DG have moved on. I’m guessing there was a reason.

We have a talented young WR group but we need an experienced WR.

Ole Miss it is. Best of luck to him.

UCF will be fine…

sucks he left especially the timing of it which is a little shady…but I like Lane Train so better there than seeing him help Miami which would sting more

Nobody in Miami is mad about it. I personally wish him well. Can’t lose what we did not have.

He chose to leave UCF for a reason? For one, he is looking for a better offensive system and to catch balls from a good QB. Look in the mirror boys.

How long has it been since you had a good QB who took you to an undefeated season? :)

He is familiar with the previous system and wants to get mega stats for a very competitive WR PRO draft next year. I'm glad he graduated because his future is NOT guaranteed but I personally believe he would have had more TDs with UCF had he stayed. Long time fan's opinion here... He looked great in our current system by the way here in the spring game SMH.

FWIW - I heard Robinson got a 400K NIL deal with Ole Miss. If it's true, you got to be happy for the kid to pick up kind of change and also go to one of the best offenses in the country. If it's true, that's also really really bad sign for UCF. Won't be long till other kids on the team want to monopolize on their value.

I'm not saying he would have done better at UCF or not. I will say, I watched someone who works out at the same offseason gym as Jaylon and Jaylon was of the opinion he was going to waste his last year in a Gus offensive system (don't shoot the messenger).

Ole Miss QB's struggled in their Spring game so it's yet to be seen if he's going to catch balls from a good QB. But only time will tell and he's certainly banking the start of his professional career on it. We'll see.
