Replacing a coach with two career losing seasons with a guy with six career losing seasons. Really?
patient ... what for? he took a team from 0-12 to 13-0 in two years. dillingham took a 3-9 (i'm includng the vacated wins because they won them on the field) team to 11-2 and big 12 champs and playoff participant in two years.
Hopefully, Scott can Keep Dylan Rizk at UCF. I am worried Rizk may enter the transfer portal.
I think he will stay. He can pass and run, and Frost will see that. He did make a few mistakes, but it was basically year 1 for him. He will be better next year. Milton and Bortles both struggled a bit at first, but they showed overall good decision making and learned from their mistakes. Maybe they can hire Milton to work with him. He wears number 10 too.
This feels like the Nebraska fans in 2017 thinking Frost will take them back to the glory days. I like what he did for us, but you're telling me there isn't a more proven guy out there that is interested? If you take the Frost name out of this, people would be crucifying Terry.
Maybe they can bring Chinander back too. He has really upped his game. The Boise defense looks good. Him and Frost were good friends.

Dude hasn't coached in how long? Why not at least swing for the fences with Gary Patterson if you are going to hire someone out of coaching?
Now, if UCF adds Patterson as DC, I am 💯% on board with the hire and Tic Tok is a 2025 AD of the Year candidate. But if you get some scrub as DC, you will be a bottom dweller for a long, long time.
Unfortunately, I fully expect a certain someone in Idaho to return to Orlando.

I see this going 1 of 2 ways, either Frost is a disaster and he’s fired after 1 or 2 years. (Buyout number is key) Or he’s super motivated after what happened at Nebraska, the connection, magic of 2017 carries over and it turns into a home run hire. Odom would’ve been Gus 2.0, 5-7 wins every year.

The last three days the fan base had started leaning towards Frost. It's the right choice. Now Terry told him no chins that I would be OK with after his sandbagging at the end of the season
Positive he can adjust the the talent he has
Negative: O and D line needs to hire a good to great recruiter and developer. Used alot of if not all GOL linemen in 2016/17/18
There were definitely two or three portal kids we should go back after. EJ hopefully will come back

Good thing we didn’t rush into a selection for the head coach like many wanted to. Ilike the pick. We got rid of Gus for nothing and our recruits went better then we thought. I expect some portal guys coming back Life is good today.

Seems like he has a bit of a god-like status here, similar to what he had at Nebraska as a player. At Nebraska, he let it get to his head and that contributed to dooming his tenure. Has he learned from those mistakes, or will he get caught in the same self-absorbing traps?

I was not excited about anyone out there right now. Hopefully Scott can find lightning a 2nd time around. He sure didn't show anything while at Nebraska. Hopefully he brings in a better defensive staff than the first go around. Welcome home coach, Beam me up Scotty and take this program to new heights.
I expect our offense to be competent and UCFast again. No more drive killing subs or squeezing everyone into the box and running it up the middle. I think we will struggle to slow it down and our D will be on the field too much.
