Predicting Scott Frost staff

QB: DARWIN Hinshaw or McKenzie Milton
RB/Running Game Coordinator: Tim Harris Jr.
WR/Passing Game Coordinator: Matt Lubick or McKenzie Milton
TE: Sean Beckton
OL: Greg Austin
DL: Kenny Martin
DE/DC/Assistant Head Coach: Erik Chinander
LB/Associate Head Coach/Sp .Teams: Jovan Dewitt
CB: Travis Fisher
S/Recruiting Coordinator: Addison Williams
Would be nice to see Kevin Smith get a shot at RB coach but not sure if that lateral move from ole Miss would make sense financially.

Dream team

Can we all just put on IGNORE AL. If we do that he’s not here anymore

We r all a little bit dumber being exposed to him
Done! He joins lobotomy cane on that exclusive list. What a tool. Gus inherited a winning team and got worse each season. Frost took a winless team to perfection. AL is a loser and shall be ignored

Seems like he has a bit of a god-like status here, similar to what he had at Nebraska as a player. At Nebraska, he let it get to his head and that contributed to dooming his tenure. Has he learned from those mistakes, or will he get caught in the same self-absorbing traps?
He had the most successful season ever here. He’s deserving imo

I expect our offense to be competent and UCFast again. No more drive killing subs or squeezing everyone into the box and running it up the middle. I think we will struggle to slow it down and our D will be on the field too much.

Defense had been a liability for years. hoping for some luck on that side of the ball.
Theres talent there but ive never liked the 4-2-5 scheme. Especially when playing soft zone coverage. Whats the point of 5 dbs if youre not gonna press receivers

Hopefully, Scott can Keep Dylan Rizk at UCF. I am worried Rizk may enter the transfer portal.
Why? Rizk said he was staying. Frost’s system relies on a QB similar to Rizk. Frost has an RPO that involves the TEs. Rizk would probably leave if Gus had another year as we would have portaled a new QB here. Rizk showed he has some skills to compete for the position.

As long as we have a competent OL and DL, we should be OK on offense. That was really what Gus lacked. My gripes with Gus came from the last two games. The team looked woefully underprepared. My biggest gripe was watching Gus throw his hands up and walk away from a RS Freshman who is trying to get something going. That made me upset because I felt he stopped caring. Then to see he is leaving, I felt he checked out a good week before the game. Whether it’s true or not, that was what I saw from Gus. I was still on the Gus bus through last Saturday.

Rumor is because he knew he was leaving Gus did no game planning at all for the Utah game. Just mailed it in.

Well, UCF got the best possible result after Malzahn left. Finances are in order, Frost is experienced with a track record with UCF, knows the lay of the land and can attract undecided recruits. Getting a staff in place will take some time but he has time. BTW for those of you who criticize him for going to Nebraska, he was a AA QB there, it's his home and he got his chance of a lifetime to coach there. Nebraska hasn't been worth a darn for 25 years (before, during and after Frost's tenure).

Now, can we not find one more year of eligibility for sockboy?

I kid, I kid

Frost and Smith did not get along the first time around. I doubt he would be interested. Smith quit and joined Kiffin the following year so they have worked together for 7 years.

I hope we get the Strength & Conditioning Coach back - Zach Duval? I thought he did a good job with conditioning the team as 16/17/18 had the fewest injuries.

Reading about Frost, he needs to run with this opportunity. He should be on campus tomorrow to meet with the team and coaches. Beckton was an analyst for Gus so he’s already on campus. He should be the first call Frost makes. Beckton needs to give Frost the scoop on our coaching staff and recruits the school needs to target. It sounds like Harris was instrumental in keeping our players, so he should be retained.

For the bad news, Frost is going to drive me crazy with his going for it on 4th downs-- had to have the players dig him out of several mistakes, but they did! I guess at least it showed a desire to win, haven't seen that in a few years.

Outside the box hire for Frost, Ray Lewis for DC or linebacker coach.
the man has no coaching experience at any level. defensive coordinator is a key staff appointment you know. a position coach is something else entirely in terms of importance, it's not an "or" situation.

My gripe with Gus was culture. Seemed these guys never cared about winning

Agreed 100% He can really hit the ground running. He knows the state, high school coaches, and runs a fun offense that will be attractive to many recruits. High school state finals are next week, he and staff should camp out there all weekend.

I didn't know Smith and Frost didn't get along. Wonder where I was at the time?

Gus always had the team unprepared, that was always the issue (ie Thomas Castellanos in the co championship game against Tulane) that JRP was then brought into while having the hamstring injury (who was also probably not prepared). He also had a terrible game plan every game it seems. We continue to be lucky with the Danny White and Josh Huepel buyout money and now what seems to be a net flat monetary move of Gus leaving (no buy out for firing or FSU hiring him “away”)

Gus only had luck at Alabama junior university because he is a good recruiter and the talent of those players were able to win him some games. He also got lucky with Cam. He’s a terrible coach. Probably only beat saban a few times because of the nature of rivalries and the talent he had, not because of his coaching abilities. Just like when we were playing well and Cow U was down, they would play us well because it was a rivalry game. Happy to have Frost back. Maybe not first choice, but he’s a good move for the state we are in right now like some of you mentioned. He’s not the coach we need, he’s the coach we deserve.
