I have to say that Scott Frost is the perfect combination of old and new. His new methodology is refreshing and much needed, yet his attitude towards other things such as studies, respect and work ethic is old school. I am more and more impressed by the person each time he has a presser.

If he can make it all happen on the field it will be amazing.

He's very methodical. I like it. We can't go fast until we condition. We can't go outside until we can go fast. yadda yadda yadda we ain't winning the conference but we're gonna win.

Or even a more exciting brand of football and a never-say-die ethic. Attendance, raucous crowds, buzz around town and on campus are just as crucial as victories. The turnout for the spring scrimmage was an indicator of our potential. Comporting well in Ann Arbor as scrappy and dangerous can also begin to re-establish us with the national sports media. Just recall the attention we got after that afternoon at Nebraska, the incredible comeback win at Bama, and of course the Louisville and Baylor wins in our magic season.

Very, very impressed. I'm glad he just got married. Hope that raising a family in central florida keeps him here even longer. I can see a 12-0 season in the future with this coach and the kind of staff and players he has the ability to draw to UCF.

It has always been a great place to raise young kids. What's changed in the past couple decades is it because a fabulous place for teens, too. Unlike the book and movie "Paper Town" about the stifling culture (or lack thereof) in Orlando of the 90s, this area has really grown up and thrown off its insecurities and defensiveness. It's developed a vibrant, confident urban center for gay and straight youth, including one of the top club districts in the nation.

Frost really gets you super pumped as a fan about the season and the program. I think we will be seeing a lot of big donations in the future towards the program

You just know when a coach has the "it" factor, just like a player. I just don't see him failing. He has a history of being an overachiever.

That's why I worry. How long did the Memphis coach stay? Two years? And they had FedEx's deep pockets to counter big offers from P-5 schools. With no family yet nor local ties, coaches with his pedigree have nothing to hold them unless a Big 12 or other money conference lets us in. But even if we cannot keep him, Frost (and our new AD and hoops coach) can get us the attendance and donors for stadium expansion and national ranking to make his departure mutually beneficial (but even better, he stays).

Please stop. The Michigan game this year will be nothing like NE, Bama, or Louisville. We just went 0-12 and don't have a QB who knows the offense or any Oline. You are setting yourself and others up for dissapontnent

I just say "comporting well" (holding in there early on and still fighting after the game is long decided). The thrill cheering with my family at the 1995 game at #1 FSU -- that's a better example, then. Something that keeps players and fans believing there will be a new tomorrow.

It's going to be game 2 of a new system, on the road at the Big House, against a JIm Harbaugh team that just won 10 regular season games last year.

We're going to get whooped. But that's ok. It's a throwaway game. No one expects anything other than a butt whoopin'. In a transition year after going 0-12, just try to find 6 games you can win. That would be HUGE.

I anticipate we will lose to UM in much the same way we lost to Wisc. It was never in doubt, but still entertaining.

Yes, I believe that was 34-6 in 2004. UM will try to pound us offensively.

UM killed the Gators last year, but for whatever reason I think that we will put up more of a fight just based in desire.

Spot on. I expect to be quite full of alcohol to watch that @ss whopping!

Nobody goes to Michigan without being affected by the noise and the pageantry. It makes a Gainesville home game seem classless and minor league. The state population eats and breaths college football year round. Whole extended families base their travel calendars around the fall schedule. It's similar to playing recent opponents Penn State and Ohio State.

Tell me about it. I booked my hotel in February and they were nearly all booked back then. A Hampton Inn in Ann Arbor was charging $322 a night

1995 Ugh year of the worst game ever 7-6 loss to Liberty while we're wearing purple jerseys, that were forever lost after that game I think.

94. 95 was Culpeppers Freshman year and we wouldn't lose to Liberty with only scoring 6 points.

That's why you stay ypsilanti for ~100/night.
I was able to get into a Candlewood suites, because I booked in Feb for about $140-$150 a night and 1.6-1.8 miles from the Big House. It's usually about $80. It will probably be in the 50's.
Nice to escape the Florida heat for early morning tailgating.
