We're well behind Europe in realizing that baggage claim and check in areas are soft spots. Every airport in Europe now has cops (or military) at check in and baggage claim.
Of course you can't step foot on an airport property with a concealed firearm.

Learn something new every day. I didnt realize how restrictive Florida was compared to most other states.
Florida is one of just 5 states to totally ban the legal carry of a firearm on any terminal or airport grounds.
There are 44 states that have "Airport Carry" laws that allow for it.
How did the shooter get a gun there? Doesn't he know they're banned? It's the current year people.

IF you wanted it to be effective, but a wall is not expected to be effective. It's a symbolic act, to make people feel better. Like gun control/bans.
Anyone can check their weapons on flights.
