Should Colleges be paying for AAU events?

Personally, I think college basketball recruiting is the seediness, dirtiness, and immoral recruiting there is. I get AAU is run by the shoe companies. Kids parents basically pay for their kid to get recruited. They fly around the country paying ridiculous fees to play for college coaches. It's literally like having an allstar HS football season in the summer just to get a FBS scholarship. It hurts the players. It hurts the families. And the only ones who benefit are the top programs in the top conferences- yes like UCF.

I think if college recruiters demand players do the AAU tour then the colleges should play for the players' travel expenses.
