I feel like the southeast where we recruit has amazing raw athletes but poor coaching (excluding Georgia/ATL area). Does this lend itself to stacking the defensive side of the ball (where athleticism differentiates more than scheme and disclipline) rather than trying to outsmart folks on offense? Have we been going about things all wrong?
It seems like teams that have consistent success at the P4 level in the Southeast are focused around dominant defenses (Alabama, UGA, FSU, etc.).
Any truth to this or just my edibles talking?
