Inexpensive additions that help add "pizzazz":
Outdoor mats or carpeting. They help in reducing sand, and also...people can take their shoes and sandals off. If in the parking lot, they help in deflecting heat commonly absorbed by the asphalt.
Xmas lights (there are some that are LED that run off a 12v forever).
