Not sure if this was covered in another thread.

This is Saturday night on Snelson's twitter account:

He also retweeted a few fan observations wondering where he was on the field like this:

I can't imagine this kind of nonsense helping his cause if he's trying to get on the field.

Not gonna lie, I thought the same thing after the game. I noticed he was missing from the field. We're pretty good at WR, so there will always be one or two who aren't happy. Hope we can keep him. and get him some touches.

Just bc you were ranked higher coming out of HS doesn't mean you are going to walk on the field and take touches from T. Smith or Payton who who are working their tails off.

The only appropriate response to a road blowout win and dropping 53 on an opponent is excitement for the team and your offensive unit while expressing the dedication to be a big part of it moving forward. Frost isn't going to like the "me first" attitude displayed here.

D'erren Wilson re-entering the picture may be keeping Snelson off the field.

Frost will likely bench him now. Frost won't take this crap.

With injuries happening, maybe there will be room for him after all. Maybe he can return kickoffs.

I didn't see him lighting it up when he did touch the ball. I also haven't been too impressed with Payton.
Yeah.., and Payton wanted to go to UF. He's not big, aggressive or that fast. The big thing with these 2 are that they need more years under their belts and to hit the weight room

Payton had a nice week 1 but hasn't done squat since. I guess with the turmoil at the QB position that can be expected. We've played 4 different guys behind center now I think. Hopefully Milton can stay healthy and start building a rhythm in the passing game with some of these guys.

I thought Patti got lost 2 weeks ago and he got a TD last game.

Give it time, this isn't a one man show. The other thing is #20 who has been on the
team for some time now has worked himself into a nice possession type receiver role
where he makes a big catch and sits patiently for next opportunity. His play has
pushed some of the younger receivers down the line.

Frost pretty much benched Killins after his 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Maryland that could have cost us the game. And he responded with guns blazing. Also, Snelson is from Ft. Lauderdale, so all his "friends" and family would have been there. That's when you discover how few your real friends are!

When you are "only" 6' 0" in college, a receiver has to be really special to make it as a freshman. He's virtually our shortest receiver out there, and with Milton throwing high, there's no way he could climb up to pull those down. Sure he turned down Minnesota, Penn State, Michigan, and Virginia Tech, but he wouldn't be starting with them either.

QB will have to be like Octomom on our team to feed all WRs egos [banana]
They aren't gonna feed any egos. They get their names on the uniforms and can do press interview, but it stops there. Social media shots gets you benched or sentenced to special teams.

Snelson was not listed among the game participants in the box score. But if you watch the game highlights on the UCF Football FB page, there is a touchdown (I can't recall if it was Wilson or Patti) where you can clearly see Snelson on the field for the play. He's in the foreground, and the TD run is in the background. So he definitely got in the game, although he obviously didn't do much. Stat-keeper might have missed him on the field.

Of course patient is the hardest thing to be when you're young, talented, and driven. His time is coming.

Sounds like this kid needs an attitude adjustment . Needs to learn There is no "I" in team attitude and that nobody is indispensable

We scored 53 points...if anything(anyone) got wasted it was because we had too much of a good thing.

First off, I don't agree with how snelson is handling this. Talk to your positions coach to figure out what you need to do to see the field.

But to see his point of view, we are winning big and game was out of hand. We had our 4th QB in the game. Why not get a couple plays in during the 4th quarter. He's a freshman playing in his hometown area. Probably had friends and family at the game. I'd be upset if I didn't play (just don't need to vent on social media).

I said all this above. So clearly, he must have already been in the doghouse when the game started. There can be no other explanation. Even our last backup running backs and receivers got to play significant time.

Frost was asked about Snelson during his pre-ECU conference today. Some reporter must have known something.
Frost looked slightly more annoyed after that question. Basically said that Snelson is going to be a great player and needs to keep learning and pushing forward.

Snelson needs to relax. He would be redshirted in most top programs and might not play that much in 4 years for them. Obviously the coaches are seeing something. It's his 4th game in college. This isn't HS. 4-Stars doesn't mean anything now.

Frost basically said that some guys are only going to get 2 touches in this offense which spreads the wealth amongst a lot of players, so they better make plays, like Akins does.

Happy to see Akins starting to get in a groove the last few games

Seniors and even sophomores have such an advantage over frosh, especially this early in the season when a sophomore has played in four times as many games. Freshmen will also be less consistent from game to game because the film and scouts find weaknesses and tendencies they can exploit -- so technique that worked in previous games suddenly doesn't.

AGREED on all counts.

Two Words: Joshua Reese. Kid kinda seemed like a bust for being a 4-star kid but that was a vacuum cleaner his last two seasons. He wasn't a monster player, or made a ton of catches but worked on his craft and caught some of the most important catches of the season in 2013...several key 3rd and long catches I can recall right off the bat.

Dude is a Freshman. I actually hope he redshirts. Having seen our WRs so far, there is no need to throw him out there as well.

He's already been in some games, so I think a redshirt is out at this point. He caught 2 balls against SC State week 1. He just needs to stick to it and hope that the passing game comes along with some QB stability. Lots of talented receivers and not enough balls to go around.

Josh Reese was just lost in a group of emerging taller and faster receivers who werent rated as high as he was. He still had a good career and had that ability to make defenders miss him in the open field in those big games against Penn State and Louisville.

And we really showed Baylor how receivers can block downfield. I think it was Reese who held his block for 20 yards to allow Storm to score in the Fiesta Bowl.
