Given what we saw in last week’s game, I feel like anything is possible. FAU has Nkosi Perry and they’ve been putting up points in their first 3 games. Willie Taggart will be licking his chops to get after us, and there’s some clear tape now on how to slow down JRP. We kind of suck in road games as well. I didn’t think I’d feel this way at the beginning of the season about this game, but here we are.

Yeah this will be a huge week to decide how the season goes. Do we rally and come out pissed off or do we pull a Navy type performance from last year?
Hopefully the fact that our South Florida guys will be playing in front of friends and family will be a plus for motivation.

I think last week showed everyone who UCF is for this season. Every game needs to be considered a potential W or L going forward . While I am excited about the future and the Big XII we ain't winning that thing for a while.. back to FAU, UCF can win and likely should win but it ain't over until the clock ticks zero in the 4th. They don't need to come out angry for the game they need to come out motivated all week at practice to get rid of that acrid taste of defeat and that should motivate them to excel ,to push harder and be better . Anger only gets one so far , dedication and drive get you all the way.

I think last week was one of those wake up calls to players and coaches. We were favored, we came out strong, and then after the missed fg the air was let out of the balloon. I expect oir defense to continue to play well, and i am hopeful colton boomer is now oir kicker. We can make boca a home field advantage so my answer is im anxious about this game but not worried if that makes sense

I find it hard to believe that the offense can play worse than it did in that Louisville game. Same for special teams. Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but that was pitiful from those 2 units. If the defense continues to show up we should win relatively comfortably assuming even mild improvement on offense and ST.

Hard to tell how good the defense is, Louisville only put up 7 points on Syracuse.

FAU can win this game if Offense doesn't do it's job. I'm cautiously optimistic.

It's getting to a point where you have to ignore the name or "prestige" of an oppponent due to parity. Last weekend underscores this and I've been saying it for years.

The O-line really concerns me. Against Louisville they were bunched together many times just trying to get forward push. They couldn't and our running backs were just running into a wall of their own players. Our O-line should have realized they couldn't get forward push and should have switched to opening holes by vector leveraging (sideway push). We should win the next game but if we don't it says a lot about Gus's ability to adapt.

FAU has some quality players. They will have a chip on their shoulder and any early success could be a confidence boost in their favor. FAU is not Louisville but they are NOT SC State...If this game comes down to a kick, UCF is in huge trouble, if its a one score game in the 4th it will be the defense that wins it , not offense. I think JRP is a very talented runner but if the game comes down to his arm expect the same results vs Louisville.

We were in position to win the Louisville game but we didn't execute the plays. I believe the loss was a combination of bad play calling, players not executing the plays, and players being undisciplined by getting penalties. If these things can get fixed, we will win some games this year. Hopefully, we see a much better UCF football team this week.

FAU just got beat by the Ohio Bobcats (MAC) didn't they? They were away I think. They'll be home with a full stadium (1/2 UCF fans) and they'll be fired up!

I'm concerned since JRP isn't a proven passer so FAU will probably load the box and force him to throw to win. I'll still say we find a way to outscore them 38-34. I'm curious to see what our WR corps looks like this week with the injuries.

I'm really hoping the Louisville game was a wake up call for the entire team to get their shyt together, however so me of the work needs to come from the offensive coaches as well cause you can't tell me they put our guys in a good position to win last week. It was like watching GOL ball with run run pass punt.
totally

I dont see either team scoring 30. I think our D hold them to 21 or less. We win if or O can score on them.

First road test for JRP since playing at Miss. St. in 2019. He also started at QB at Alabama in 2019 so hopefully that experience helps him Saturday.
