Missed a quarter of this week's game so I was looking up highlights on YT and accidentally clicked last year's game without realizing. Watched it anyway.
My notes:
1) our defense was HORRIBLE compared to this year
2) DG was slinging it & and more mobile than I remembered (extending plays, comfortable moving in the pocket, a few designed QB runs)
3) I really miss Marlon Williams
If we had this year's defensive production with last year's offensive production, this team would be insane.
Heupel's offense was super frustrating at times but was fun to watch. Also need to consider that Heup's offensive tempo hurt the defense.
Just kinda crazy to see the stark difference between these two teams. However I'm excited to see Gus's team in the coming years once he has the players that fit his system.
