Davidson ran UCF off the court last year in our place. Utterly embarrassing loss.

This time, we're without our leader and top scorer and Tacko hadn't been allowed to practice with the team for 10 days! Five new players on the court, while Davidson had 6 of its top 7 scorers back from its conference champ Big Dance veteran team and a packed house where Davidson hardly ever loses.

So UCF comes back not once or twice but over and over in both halves despite four trouble. They were in it til almost the end and had elite Davidson doubting itself. UCF won not just the rebounding, 3-pt. pct., fg pct., only 11 turnovers, a huge 18 assists, and 7 blocks by 6 different players while being forced to play man D to stop Davidson's 3s. This team showed the character and class lacking for several years. They got the athletic ability, length, depth, and heart. All they need now is to develop the chemistry and get B.J. back. This could become a scary good team. See you all Wednesday night for the battle of the giants and an excellent UC Irvine team.

Sucks to start off 0-1 but we have a respectable team. Not having BJ might have been the difference in a W, but we are headed in the right direction.

I hope you're correct. What was Davidson's record last year?

I hope you're correct. What was Davidson's record last year?

Davidson won the A-10 regular season (in their first year) 14-4 and finished 24-8, making the NCAA's and finished with an RPI of 42.

With basically all of their top scorers back this year (6 out of their top 7), they are once again, picked in preseason polls to win the A-10 this year.

Effort is nice...winning is even better. There are no moral victories, just wins and losses. 0-1 for DJ.

Anybody know when BJ will be back?

Not soon enough...but in the meantime...great opportunity for Freshman Chance McSpadden get some extra PT...something he wouldn't have gotten with a healthy BJ Taylor.

Chance actually ended up playing pretty well in his first ever college game...and he should continue to improve over the rest of the season.
