South Sumter LB Malakhi Boone doubles down on UCF pledge, will sign Wednesday

Key players to watch as NSD approaches will be 4-star Miami Central safety Tony Williams and 3-star Cocoa receiver Jayvan Boggs.

Osceola running back Taevion Swint, the Knights’ top commitment, said Saturday that he still plans to sign with the Knights, but he will not do so until Thursday. Osceola players have postponed their National Signing Day for one day instead of Wednesday.

Signing with no head football coach. Or, do they know already?

I'm not sure I know the strategy of radio silence on announcing a new head coach.

Jaquez Joiner

Buzz: The 3-star offensive tackle from Cocoa High School, committed to UCF last September, was the latest to sign his LOI. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Joiner had offers from Indiana, Marshall and USF before choosing to play for the Knights. He totaled 146 pancake blocks in 51 career games with the Tigers.

4 star Tony Williams officially signs too.

Nice to see some guys sign despite having no coach in place. My thinking is that they see an opportunity for increased chances of early playing time with so many departures.

Is this the smallest class in power conference football history? Sure is sad.....but expected.

Remember that we also have a player cap going into effect for the next season. The cap is 105 players. If Gus stayed, between graduation and the new signing class, UCF would have to drop about 15 players net. The player cap effectively kills walk ons.
