Special counsel John Durham concluded that the FBI should never have launched a full investigation into connections between Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, according to a report compiled over three years by the Trump-administration appointee and released on Monday.

Durham’s 300-plus page report also states that the FBI used “raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence,” to launch the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into Trump and Russia but used a different standard when weighing concerns about alleged election interference regarding Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

In this May 2022 photo, special counsel John Durham, the prosecutor appointed to investigate potential government wrongdoing in the early days of the Trump-Russia probe, leaves federal court in Washington, DC.

The Durham report on the FBI smacks of one of the COVID-19 conspiracies that UCFBS routinely trots out here.

Durham points out dubious "What about THIS?" and "What about THAT?" without ever showing us where the actual beef was. The bottom line is that it was four years of a nothing burger investigation.

Just like our buffet-basher's nutzo covid conspiracies, Durham's FBI investigation was a whole lot of confirmation bias with a whole lot of nothing behind it. If this was such a serious breach that it warranted this level of investigation, answer this: Did the investigation lead to evidence of wrong-doing that led to a bunch of indictments and convictions across the FBI? As I recall, two people were indicted and ZERO were convicted!

They should have popped this cork next year.
What cork got popped? It's a one-day news story that lacks any substance.
  • Crime of the Century? LOL!
  • Indictments? A whopping two---and neither of them were found guilty.
  • New FBI procedures recommended? Given all the hand-wringing about the way the FBI investigated a possible Trump-Russia connection, you'd THINK the report would be full of all kinds of recommended procedural changes. So were there any? Nope, not a one.
  • Evidence of politically-influenced departmental decisions? uh, nope.

Explain why like 15 guys associated with Trump were charged . this is to make every accusation ignored leading up to 2024
