Sounds about the same with all the sports magazines. Most of the prognosticators get lazy when it comes down to evaluating G5 programs. A big part of who ends up on top will be based on QB PLAY. We know Ridder is gone from Cincinnati.

Continuity is always the safer bet for analysts in preseason. Which team was good last year, has same coach, has same QB.

Houston has all three, Cincinnati has first two. Until Fickell has a bad season, he will get the benefit of the doubt. This could be the year it ends, if not, his value will get a huge boost.

We were a great pick in 2017. I think Memphis and USF were attracting all the preseason attention (similar to Houston/Cincy this year).

In NFL yes thats what you hope for. When its up to polls to determine who gets NY6 bowl, you need to beat good teams.

Ny6 is not guaranteed to the aac champ. Our conf is in the driver's seat, but you don't want to be in a horse race with App State or Coastal Carolina or any of the other G5 that the media actually likes.
