can't seem to find any pics of the completed ESC/Cabana club on line. Anyone know if they are still working on it?

I can imagine it will be typically overpriced like the usual plus any extra 5 bucks.

I don't see how they are going to finish it by the 3rd. It's just a shell. They are still welding it. No electric, flooring, nothing. Unless they work 2-3 shifts per day...I don't see it. IMHO :)

Not to mention if there's 60-100MPH winds + rain + tornadoes on Monday-Tuesday....

Honestly, if it's not done I should get a 1/6th refund of my money since my seats are actually worse than last year. I'm paying for the Cabana part, not the seat location.

Not really sure how much is left to finish this project but sometimes you can be surprised by how quickly things can come together if you have the right people working on it.

Ok...1/6 of $200 is $33.33 plus it means you can't attend the game.

Hint: $700 of the $900 total cost is a tax deductible eligible DONATION to UCF Athletics so you might have to go back and look up the definition of the word "donation", a major part of that which is tax-deductible (see your tax professional).

What is wrong with you people? Sonny's is good, but 4 Rivers ROCKS! The long lines out the door prove it. I will admit I am not a fan of some of their specialty dishes (the cuban for example). The Spud is my favorite. I just wish they would have it on the regular menu.

Being 'the best BBQ in Orlando' is like being the fastest kid in the special olympics. I assure you that 4R is better than 'standard stadium microwave food' but it's nothing to go mad over.

A little uncalled for. Almost everyone would be annoyed if you paid for special seats + extra perks without seeing a finished product for game 1 which seems likely at this point.

I bought 2 seats and although I like to donate to the program, I paid $1,800 ($1,400 donation which is higher than I usually have given by far) for the seats exclusively. It's not my fault that's the way it was set up with such a high donation to seat price ratio. So.., I look at it as paying $1800 and potentially losing $300 if it was not finished. I pay for the seats more than the donation and donating is import to me, just not more than actually attending games and enjoying the new perks. I have supported and donated in many other ways. Ireland, fiesta bowl, apparel, etc.

Sorry dude-- but you get a LOT more bang for your buck with Sonny's than you do 4-Rivers. And every time I've eaten at 4-Rivers (of which, my last time I swore would be THE last time), by the time I waited through the line to get my food, get a table, and get a drink, my food was ice cold. No thanks. I'll stick to Sonny's. I do, however, hope it attracts a lot of people to the ESC and sells out those seats!

LOL...Cincinnati has to use every nook and cranny to get to 40,000. Meanwhile we have already put over 48,000 in our stadium for a game...and we have plenty of room to expand by 20,000 if we want to.

Sonny's has always seemed a little dry and salty. Never had 4-Rivers and have heard a lot about it, so I'm excited to check it out.

Like most things, everyone has their own opinion and preferences when it comes to food. However, as a former chef with a culinary degree, I know a solid, quality restaurant when I see one. 4R fits the bill.

I do believe their biggest problem is their signature entree, the briskett, isn't their best item. It tends to have more salt and fat than I prefer, and light on the beefy taste. That being said, their chicken, pork, turkey and ribs are among the best I've had, though.

Put aside 4R, though, I agree with other comments that say having BBQ in a surf cabana-themed pavilion for a team whose mascot is a medieval knight makes no sense to me. Seafood or hell, even Public subs would have been a better fit.

We actually talked about this at work. Price-wise, once you tip at Sonny's, it is the same price if not more (unless you are a cheap tipper). $8.49 Big Deal plus tip is $10+ (add $2 if you want a second side). 4R Sandwich (includes 2 sides) is $8.49 plus $2 drink.

Wait time is equivalent also (4R you wait in line, Sonnys you wait at the table and it doesn't always come out hot there either). Not sure what 4R you went to and had to wait for a table. I have never had to wait at University (and trust me, I go more than most... and more than I should). The one time I would have had to wait was because someone tried "saving seats"... I nicely handed them the sign on the table that said "no reserving seats" and sat my family down.

4 Rivers was created by a FSU alumn and Sonny's is a Gainesville thing. Would've been cool if we could've partnered up with a UCF alumn and Tijuana Flats.

This got me thinking. Jimmy Hulas would be a nice fit with the cabana. I wonder if they have a UCF affiliation. That would be some good grub to enjoy with a cold one while watching our beloved Knights!!!
