Reminder also about the autograph session after the game and free parking as well. Should be a fun time for the youngsters (grab autographs and photos) and light on the parents pockets (free parking, free admission).

The team won big. The new players looked great. However, Sellers was injured. The players stayed on the floor for an hour taking photos and signing posters. It was a great value for 0$. They had about 2 or 3 thousand people there.

Sellers injured, looked like a back injury!?

UCF is in the bad place right now, my thoughts are with Jaylin right now to have a speedy recovery! But seriously, is there a voodoo doll out there somewhere? Why can’t we have nice things to root for!?

First of all, this was a very competitive game and was played at the pace and intensity of a regular season game. We came out soft and they dominated us down low besides making their 3's. We were behind the entire first half, at halftime and early in the 2nd half when Jaylin went down. But after the injury we rallied to take the lead then extended it, pulling away at the end. Sellers was wearing a back brace when he came out at halftime and he started the 2nd half. But shortly thereafter he was dribbling, pulled up, dropped to the court and just laid there. He wasn't moving and they had to bring out a stretcher. They very carefully got him on the stretcher and took him away. I was sitting around some local basketball people, and they said that Sellers hasn't been practicing as much lately because of a bad lower back. And with the way he hit the deck today, it looks like an injury that could take quite a while to recover from. It's never good to have a bad lower back when you're playing a strenuous game like high level college basketball. Luckily, we're a deep team right now and it should allow Jaylin the time to heal up.

Hopefully someone who goes can recap today. Curious on the new look team. 11 new players.
We have a deep team. After Jaylin went down (we were behind) we rallied behind a number of the "new guys" and DJ. Our leading scorer (20+ points) was Keyshawn Hall and the other primary contributors were DJ, Jordan Ivey-Curry, Bennie Williams, Dior Johnson, Mikey Williams and Nils Machowski. We also have 3 C's and Moustapha Thiam played most of the time a C was in the game. He's young, raw and not very physical for 7'2" but he hustles and looks like he could develop into a good one. But I figure that all 3 will be used and the one who will play the most is the one that gets tougher on D around the basket (rim protector) and figures out how to contribute on O. Also, there were some guys who didn't play and I don't know why (Tyler Hendricks, Debo Coleman, JJ Taylor to name few). If anyone does, let us know. And yes, Poohpha played.
