If Gus was merely the offensive coordinator, he’d have been fired already
I doubt it matters. No one was learning anything.
It was only a matter of time. When you are transitioning to starting QB #4 on the season despite no injuries to starting QBs 1-3, someone has to be held accountable, and that's the defensive coordinator.
Yes giving up 31 ppg is bad. Scoring 22 in college is not good either. Unfortunately, I think Rizk saves Gus job.
He is horrible too. A new voice may help though for a bit. Definitely not a long term answer. I don’t feel great about this. Looks like Gus is gonna put his head into the defensive Room

Where is Auburn Legacy? I was told by that genius that Ted Roof was some amazing DC that was going to fix everything with his “exotic blitz scheme”. lol loser
400k this year and 700k next year just to buyout Roof after 9 months. And now we’re back to Williams, who we already had as the DC before Roof. AND the LB Coach is going to be the coach that supposedly told Call to leave (referenced in that letter that went viral last week).

He got one friend paid $1.1 Million for working half a season. This guy coached linebackers at Sanford, but has not worked as a coach in 5 years.
Perhaps Malzahn is trying to get bought out. See how far he can set back the program back before Mohajir makes a move.
I'm sure defensive recruits, particularly linebackers looking at UCF like it's a dumpster fire.
Edit - Apparently prior to this season Newton was teaching and coaching at a high school in Alabama.
