Ted Roof suing UCF

Well, I have no idea how contract was written. If UCF did indeed breech the contract then he should sue. if they didn't I hope he loses BIGLY

Agreed on the Roof contract. And if Roof wins, it's Tik Tok Terry's mistake. The point of my comment was Gus related. He brings in his friend for 1/2 season, fires him and gets him a big payday for less than full time work. Meanwhile Gus maneuvers himself into a high paying OC role and resigns without having to pay a buyout. All this seems way too contrived. A couple of guys taking advantage of an inept AD. And UCF, the school that put Gus back on his feet and in the limelight after Auburn fired him, gets screwed.

it doesn’t seem enough to get in a public fight

it is hard to trust Terry on anything, he would have hired Odom if former players didn’t push as hard as they did for Frost.

I can only imagine Roof's contract had a ton of small print that was tied to Malzhan's contract stipulations, thus, when Malzhan quit his contract, something must have kicked into Roof's. Hopefully, we hear what the outcome was. In another article i read UCF hasn't been served the lawsuit yet, so maybe this is just opening shots.

Does anybody know the lawyer? He’s a Ucf grad. Seems like the suit was filed for purposes of negotiating this one out.
He got fired, but got the contractual pay for the remainder of the year. Gus quit before this year so his contract would’ve been voided. Ucf honored his contract up to the point that Gus quit. I don’t see Roof having a great case.

It is sad and embarrassing that UCF cannot honor its contractual agreements. Roof took a pay cut to come to UCF.
