Temple Game set for 7:30pm

Can't remember the last year when UCF opened up with 4 straight night home football games (and no, 6 pm is NOT a night time game...especially in the last week of August or in Sept when its still boiling hot and the sun is still way up in the sky).

It seems like that's the best way to get large attendance numbers in Orlando, especially when the opponent is not a marquis name. Night games are fun for a lot of reasons. Cooler weather, later and longer taigates, getting weekend errands and kid events out of the way, etc.

They are finally listening to the fans that go to the games on this topic.

This is what 0-12 gets you...Bein and espn 3 broadcasts and night games. Sure CBSSports is 4 hours but at least i can watch that on TV.
Getting back to winning will mean odd broadcast times cause the networks think you'll spike a rating.

I am loving all the night games. Screw the noon and 330 kickoffs, they are to darn hot.

On ESPNU
Also my open letter to CBSSportsNet:
Please stop picking up UCF Football games, you suck at what you do.
Once we join a P-5 conference, we'll all be paying big time to watch away games. Perhaps that will help home attendance (or another excuse to watch games at the local sports bar).

watching this Temple defense vs Memphis, UCF WRs need to step up big and we need our QB to hit these intermediate routes to keep the defense honest vs our run game.

The QB play against ECU won't cut it against this team and they have a talented QB/RB combo that are both Seniors

You mean Holman can't hit the intermediate routes? You are aware that we won the last game with him and he's 2-1 as a starter. That's the only stat that counts. Ugh!!!

Yes, they have a nice QB/RB combo that have been producing for years and another RB that killed SMU.

Temple has improved and is peaking
It would be a great win to beat them

it would make things easier for the UCF Oline if Reddick gets called for Targeting before this game is over

Temple lost to Memphis today by a touchdown. I haven't watched their games but their wins are Stony Brook, Charlotte, and SMU. Their losses are Army, Penn St, and Army, so I'm not sure how to feel. Any other year I wouldn't be overly worried and expect it to be a decent game, but its still hard to judge this team considering its still evolving every game.

The advantage at this point is not having two home games in a row until the fan base has been fully rebuilt and used to going to all home games as a part of their fall schedule. UCF always had drop offs in the second game of a homestand unless it was a big name or ranked opponent. Danny would really be over-achieving if he can get that monkey off our backs.

Honestly, I would rather be on Watch ESPN than on CBS Sports Network. But this is purely for selfish reasons because through PlayStation Vue I get ESPN 3 and not CBS Sports lol

I wish the vue would drop the Big 10 and SEC network and add CBS Sports. I just started using the vue with the fire tv and I love it. $35 bucks a month!

Looking forward to this game, Temple will be a good test, and maybe the next best team we play in the conference after USF. :sunglasses:

One thing to consider is that Temple has no prior game film to review on UCF. They don't know who the starting QB is. Hope that is an advantage!

Go Knights!

No Tulane game to study. I said prior game. Usually you want to see what they did the week before. I'm sure it helps. UCF can study the Memphis-Temple game.

Seeing UCF favored by 2.5 points right now online betting site. Basically a toss up.

I like us at home here. I don't think Temple presents with more than what Maryland did. We shouldn't turn the ball over as often as we did in that one. We're rested coming off the impromptu bye week.Temple on back to back conference road trips.

These Saturday night games are the best!!!! So looking forward to the whole gameday atomsphere again. Can't believe it's been a month

Flying in from Denver for this one. Probably the most excited I've been for a home game if I'm honest.

expecting the Defense to feed off the home crowd

Temple had some issues with false starts at Memphis and BHNS will definitely be louder than the Liberty Bowl.

What does everyone think the attendance will be for the Temple game?

I think a sellout now is about 44,500.

1) It's been a month since the last home game

2) Temple is a decent team

3) It's a 7:30 gametime which are popular

3) We are 3-2

4) The overall excitement of the program with the new offensive style (Killins, Milton, etc).

I'm expecting 43,000-sellout.

5) Current forecast for Saturday weather looks pretty nice. High of 85 and low of 69. Not much chance of rain.

Better Than Esra will be nice starter act, but the Better Than Temple band (UCF) will be the main attraction.
