1. Big, big win, however close. We now have a 2 game lead for the 4th seed in the conference tournament, the tie-breaker against Marshall, and games against UAB and Rice to maintain that position.

2. Keith has 11 points, 2 rebounds, a block and a steal in the first 4 minutes of the first half. His next points come in the first minute of the second half. Finishes with 20, and has 2 fabulous inside passes to Isaiah for layups.

3. Not the crowd I expected, in size, intensity and anti-Herrion venom.

4. A 6 ½ man rotation tonight (PJ saw limited minutes). This is why that 4-seed/first round bye is SO important. Recall the Battle for Atlantis, when we beat 2 very good teams (CofC and UConn) back-to-back, then ran out of gas against Harvard. And that’s when we had Dwight and Jeff! We need to be in the final game to get a whiff at the NIT, much less the Big Dance!

5. Tristan is REALLY coming into his own! He stole 3 transition passes tonight for slams.

6. Celebrity sightings: UCF HOF’er Mike Clark, brother Tom, just one of The Clarkettes, 3 members of Montverde Academy’s nationally ranked boys basketball team, past UCF Alumni and Foundation President Jerry McGratty, 1972 FTU backup PG Tom “Pop Gun” Page, Papa Jordan, and The Betrothed Brazilian Bikini Bombshell.

7. When is Isaiah not around a loose ball?! During a very critical stretch he kept us in the game during the 2nd half. And to punctuate the victory, he sent a message to Herrion with a completely unnecessary breakaway slam as time expired.

8. Anybody else notice that The Herd made a “cowardly departure” through a different exit after the game?

9. Four players in double figures. AJ wasn’t one of them. He didn’t take many shots, but he wasn’t close when he took them, either (and let’s not talk FTs). But no TOs. He had a brace on his left knee tonight ? wonder if that had something to do with that…

10. Knight Moves had halftime all to themselves tonight - their annual Valentine’s Day show, bedecked in sparkly red tops. They passed out chocolate kisses beforehand - sweet!!

11. Marcus. He struggles completely through the first half. He begins to hit his drives mid-way through the 2nd. He (unlike others) hits late FTs. And then - with 2 seconds left on the shot clock, and 16.5 seconds left in the game - hits an inbounds 3 to seal the game. He never gave up.

12. You’ve got to give DeAndre Kane credit for making it to the game, and playing the minutes he did. But you could see in his face, and in his demeanor that he wasn’t fully into the game…

13. The trainers were working on Kasey’s knees before the game. Not sure if that’s why he didn’t play.

14. Here’s where I go trite - every remaining game is huge (OK, mega trite!). And they’re going to be tough, especially the next one, away at Southern Miss. I’m drinkin' just thinkin' about it…
