The NBA has a real China problem on its hands

Hey, little known China Fun Fact.

China imprisons millions of Uighur Muslims in reeducation camps and then kills them to sell their organs for transplants! They make over 1.5 billion dollars per year off these murdered prisioners who's only crime is their religion!

Wow that's an amazing fact, would you like another?!

In 2014 China said they would put an end to this practice but surveillance imagery show that instead of them shutting down the camps they're actually expanding them! It sure looks like China wants to make sure every Uighur Muslim is killed, but not before they can make a quick buck selling off their organs.

Bonus fact: some prisoners have their organs harvested while they are still alive.

Enjoy your basketball!

Lebron has lost the narrative ..... when you're a liberal and you lose Rolling Stone magazine and The Hollywood Reporter — Rolling "freaking" Stone, and "Hollywood," AKA the anti-conservative poster children — you know that you have a serious problem on your hands:

LeBron is another withering pussy who can’t “speak truth” when it involves his Communist dollar paycheck on the line.

concentration camps are fine!

This all makes sense All these NBA stars like LeBron were critics of Trump for his “communist-like ways.” It turns out that they want a true communist leadership, so they have turned to supporting China

I guess Trump wasn’t good enough for them:joy:

Listen. LeBron has 1.4 billion reasons to support China. Why would anyone question THOSE numbers

It's disgusting that international businessmen can so willingly ignore human rights abuses when it involves their wealth.

But its strange how some folks can see it with LeBron's business interests in China but ignore it when it comes to Trump's business interests in Turkey.

Another faulty equivalence in order to pile on your TDS. Always faithful.

The faulty part is the difference in the relationships the US has with the two countries and the difference in scale between the actions of the two countries. Not the obvious fact that Trump has dealings with Turkey.

Regardless, if we’re making a litmus test before people can do business in foreign countries, then I’m sure you’re going to apply that to every businessman and business, right?

What part of the relationship makes it faulty?

I would think that the business relationships with foreign countries is something the American People should know before electing a President. But enough of the electorate felt otherwise which is why we STILL have not seen Trump's tax returns.

And for the record, I believe we do need to give more scrutiny to the international activities of family and close friends of the President / Veep / Cabinet Officials (of either party) where a conflict of interest could be involved.

You do realize that those tax returns most likely would not have shown you the information that you're looking for, right?

NBA commissioner Adam Silver says financial losses in China 'substantial'

"The losses have already been substantial," Silver said at the Time 100 Summit, in his first public comments about the NBA's relationship with China since returning to the U.S. from China earlier this week. "Our games are not back on the air in China as we speak, and we'll see what happens next.

"I don't know where we go from here. The financial consequences have been and may continue to be fairly dramatic."

this warms my heart. i also read that the chinese gov wanted the houston rockets to fire their gm.[roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll]

I will have to confess that once-upon-a-time, I thought that the Hong Kong move and the market relationship between China and the US were good long-term developments for the World, particularly the U.S. I would have told you that I believed they were likely to make China more like us.

Instead one could argue now that they've made us more like them.

Let’s be clear: Hong Kong is a big deal but the more immediate bigger deal is the fact that the Chinese are running a modern day holocaust

The fact this isn’t the focal point of the NBA hypocrisy is astounding

That would be a very strong argument.
