For most high school seniors, they've already done enough to earn a college scholarship and many will commit before their senior year. So just as college players have been opting out of bowl games (and some during COVID), now a highly-ranked Class of 2022 prospect, RB Jaydon Blue, plans to opt out of his senior high school football season to ready for his future college career at Texas. He cited the "wear and tear" of playing the RB position as a key factor in his decision.
