This 'Alternate Facts' Business can get Awkward

A new Texas law that requires teachers to present 'opposing views' got a bit awkward when an administrator was tape recorded during a teacher training session saying that when discussing the Holocaust, opposing views should be presented to gasps from the teachers. When the audio tape was released to the public, the school was quick to say that they gave a bad example, that the existence of the Holocaust wasn't under debate.

Moral of the story: Only events since 2016 are required to have 'alternate facts' presented.
 
if its such a clear truth, why is it borderline illegal to talk about?

why do we treat what wasn't even the worst genocide of WW2 as the be all end all?

oh. here's why.

 
I don't see anything in that article that's really much of an issue. 1 administrator used a weird example and phrased it poorly to discuss how the potential new law will work.
