Taking a step back from the rhetoric I see this board slowly deteriorating into a political morass. Currently nearly 15- 20% of the posts on this board are either political threads or non-political threads that have become political. I admit to getting caught up in this. But it reminds me of when Facebook first started. There were political arguments that nobody ever wins and nobody convinces anyone else of anything. All it does did was divide and made long time friends angry at each other. so people just stopped posting political stuff... at least in my circles.
Political discourse via posts is a giant waste of time and is more than toxic. But there is a political thread pinned just for this occasion if you happen to enjoy it. Just as I did with Facebook 17- years ago I am going to resolve not to respond to the noise and hopefully I will be able to refocus on UCF sports and our common love for that rather than what divides us.
For reference the Kiddie Board has one thread that become semi-political to this boards 9. And those 9 get more attention then any other subjects. I never thought I would see the Kiddie Board acting more responsibly than the Dungeon
Save your "its the Libs...Its Trump... Its Maga...blah blah blah... responses. I have been a member of this board for 24 years and a member of the board that preceded it. Its supposed to be about sports, and an occasional sensational news worth story. Just seems like way to many posts get taken over with a hate filled $h1t show. There is so much of this in life already and plenty of places to do it. So spare me the "don't read it" response too. It is becoming too invasive in too many threads. @Brandon I know you try to keep a hands off, and this is the first time in 24 years that I have complained. I just want my fun UCF board back....
