There is all sorts of politically charged commentary in there. Other US Mainstream Media (MSM) outlets do similarly.

Simply put, this is now a 'black eye' on OPM -- which CNN and the MSM gets confused with the FBI. There are dozens of staffers who have been on TS interim clearances for a good year.
I applaud Kelly for pushing back, and putting it in the spotlight. I really cannot stand the MSM on this right now, because they are really speaking from ignorance.
Before 2015, let alone the GAO and Congressional reports that rebuked OPM and their contractors (let alone total lack of IT security), no one would be working on an interim this long, or not have their TS yanked after 5 years because OPM hadn't even opened their case.
But now that's the norm. This is all public knowledge too. Plenty of articles out there about it.
