Everybody comments, and rightfully so, about the great job that Danny did. That being said, TM deserves a lot of credit for ultimately transitioning Ucf to the big 12 and giving us a chance to succeed. The one hire that he did make, several weeks after getting the job, has given us instant credibility in that the football coach had experience at the highest levels and will not be in awe as the big 12 season starts. His recruiting has been phenomenal. The hire by Terry and the transition to be as smooth as it actually has been allows for credit that he deserves. In my opinion, he’s done a phenomenal job, especially taking over from the great job that Danny did, and transitioning us to a P5 conference. I don’t see how we could’ve done any better and I’m proud that he’s our AD. I see great success ultimately with him as our captain.

As for the team once the game slows down for them, I think success will find them quicker

He really has done a great job, brings passion. I don’t get the whole “he’s run us into the ground” talk. He literally inherited every coach (all good coaches w/ JD in MBB prob needing to go) except for Gus and the WBB coach. She had a tough job to replenish all our best players that transferred out to UGA, so I’ll give her some time to figure it out. Gus in my mind has been great, righted the mess the Hippo left us in and has recruited phenomenally so far. I was skeptical at first but Gus was prob exactly what we needed to right the ship and not completely reset.

To circle back though, with the transition to the Big12, you have to keep JD for a season or two. As much as you all hate it, you have to do it.

He is obviously a high energy guy and relationship person with tons of experience. I like him and a fan. Haters gonna hate just to hate. Let them be and don't join the least common denominator of negative nancies... UCF is in a great position for the future. Upward Trajectory like always (minus 2015 season)..

Go Knights!

Not a negative nancy that he was handed a Program humming at full speed and is just asked to not screw it up

He had nothing to do w the Big 12 invite , the resume was built before he took over

So he has done no work since? The transition to new conference seems seamless to us. But, surely someone put in a lot of work to get us to this point. What you know that we don't? Of course there was people working at UCF before. Ya know...a lot of companies continue on and be successful with new management. Same with UCF. That response above is def Neg-nancy. Good luck. I'm sure with JRP first interception you will be calling for everyone to be fired. love you just the same, just wish the negativity could be corrected.

no one is rooting against JRP . but a guy sent to the WR room at Ole Miss and a super senior doesn’t inspire much confidence in the most important position in Football. I can root for UCF but also step back and be objective about our own players . if he was wearing a different uniform most would agree watching him. hope Hinshaw works magic and he has a great last year of eligibility

Poolside,

The transition into the big 12 and setting us up for success, and just the transition as a whole has been quite impressive. There is no doubt that Danny did a wonderful job here, and should always be admired for same. that being said the transition and taking over a program that just lost their A.D. and their head coach has been quite impressive JH had gradually taken the program downward in both recruiting, as well as the record. If he kept going under that trajectory, we would not have been bowling the last two years. Even his last game against BYU was a disaster. I can guarantee you, BYU would love to be in our position even after handing us our heads during Boca Raton bowl. Many people on this board were calling for JHs head after that year. I was sad to see Danny go but not so much JH. He has done a pretty admirable job at Tennessee though with unlimited resources

I will always be behind Ucf and I am very very proud of the takeover from TM set up by Danny. That being said the transition and the way, it’s been handled under the leadership of TM is pretty impressive. His energy, intelligence, and the way he has handled the program leads me to believe we could not have done better.

"no one is rooting against JRP . but a guy sent to the WR room at Ole Miss and a super senior doesn’t inspire much confidence in the most important position in Football."

That is double speak my friend.

What I saw last year was one helluva an athlete in JRP who obviously struggled towards the end of the season with a hamstring injury. also, zero support from backup Qb who quit on the team and transferred out. That could have been UCF that won the conference and ended up in a big bowl game. He gave it is all in that conference championship game but just could not sprint. Plumlee looks like one great teammate and is super positive person. Plus, he has to be improved in year 2 at UCF qb. Did you see who the Qb was who replaced him at Ole Miss? He is Qb at Carolina Panthers currently so yes, he was better than JRP. I doubt Plumlee will make it in the NFL as a Qb so being jumped by NFL caliber Qb is obviously a duh.

But thread topic is AD. I like him. He has a ton of connections in the game. He is a positive force for UCF.

Go Knights.

I will say this about Plumlee, if he has a future in football it is most probably at wide receiver. There’s been a few quarterbacks who transitioned to receiver, and made some pretty good money. New England‘s top receiver ( Edelman,) during the Brady years was a quarterback at Kent State. One of the benefits is they have a greater analytical value of where the quarterback wants to go when they transition to wide receiver.

That being said, I saw many of linebackers have a frightening look in their eyes when he takes the ball stretching the field after faking a pitch

Mohajir's biggest move was getting Malzahn. As of now Malzahn team on the field is putting up at least 4 losses per season and the team absolutely had talent advantage over the teams they loss to. There is about 15-20 teams that can claim recruiting championships, it doesn't matter unless the team wins on the field. The program is still very much in hype mode as it has been since 2018 as oppose to delivering.
